Sorry to hear about the added stress, Cindy..

It's too bad that we sometimes lash out at the ones we love when in a situation like this..

Ral, I've got those CDs on healing.. awesome.. Mike & I are going to the Voice of the Apostles Conference at the end of October.. Bill Johnson & Kris Valletron are 2 of the speakers who will be there..

Sorry, I've been absent AGAIN.. things have been hectic.. a dear friend is retiring.. and we spent all Friday afternoon at his party.. then went to dinner with the family that evening..

Saturday we did grocery shopping.. and carrying in.. and putting away... cooking.. dishes.. etc..

Sunday started out with a great church service.. then my boss paid $100 a plate for Mike & me to attend the party to honor him & his wife by their Jewish Congregation.. He had the 2 store managers attend, one past store manager.. the Vice Pres of the company & me attend.. It was awesome to see them honored by the community & state.. the Governor & many of the state reps attended too..

Monday.. was really busy at work.. and I wasn't online much..

Tuesday was busy at work too.. and last night was Bible Study.. we are studying the parables.. I think I told you about that.. last night was about Rabbi Jesus..

Today I had an appointment to speak to the Pastor of the AOG church that we are going to now.. on Sunday when he called for people to come up to pray for others, I wanted to go so badly.. but I wanted to talk to the pastor.. did not want to overstep my bounds..

There was one lady who said that she needed the message he preached that day.. she was not sure God loved her.. but when he called them up front, she did not go.. so I went to where she was sitting & prayed for her at the pew.. she was very grateful..

So I met with Pastor today.. and he gave me permission to pray for people at the altar call..

I am so delighted.. I praise God..

My husband looks at the circumstances, get stressed, and blows up at me. Um, hello, I'm not the problem here. Neither is he. We just need to keep standing on his Word. God is faithful. Not one word will fail. Well, I know that, but when he gets so angry my lips are sealed. He's not in a listening mode and I'm not wasting my time to have the words bounce off a hardened heart. What I don't like is his raising his voice in front of our daughter and saying if he's has to go back to being a mechanic he wonders if there is any truth in the Word. God is not a man that He should lie. I know that. And I would like for us to be living examples before our children of how to walk.

We've got to learn to keep our mouths shut when we're hurting like that, and instead grab the Word, fall to our knees, and call upon the Lord. Meanwhile I try to find the best way I can to minister to him, which was simply to cook for him and serve him. What else can I do? Yes, pray. I did. I am. He's gone to a home group meeting now. Peace in the house once again.

I hear you girlfriend. It's frustrating when our husband's get frustrated. I think part of our motherhood gene is a third eye and ear that looks out for the children - what are they seeing? What are they hearing and how will that impact their development? Most of us are capable of modulating our reactions in light of this awareness. Guys tend to be more in the moment and reactionary - its part of their strength, and their potential liability if they don't learn to harness their power.

I'm praying for your husband right now. I'm praying that God's perfect peace, His shalom, rests upon your husband and fills his every desire. I'm praying that like a magnet, prospective employers are attracted to him and that he receives an offer for work that reflects God's best for him and his family. Yes Lord, bless this family now with provision, protection, and perfect peace. In Jesus, Amen.

Wow! This is ALL exciting news! The dinner, the church service, the meeting with the pastor. I'm happy for you!

I feel for you Cindy.. I get that sort of treatment daily.. only through the LORD could I have hope..

I just read through the BVOV newsletter and it was speaking about faith working by love.. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE in the flesh to love in situations like this.. but we MUST.. so that faith can work in our households and families!!

Imagine how much our faith in God pleases HIM when we are being mistreated.. and yet loving through CHRIST!!

Today as I was driving I thought I need to love my hubby when he is mean and yelling.. cussing etc.. as if I was loving Christ Himself..

Now I know Christ would not treat us like that.. but if we can love them like they were JESUS.. HE will manifest HIMSELF to us.. and give us supernatural help as we wait for deliverance!!

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him..

Think of all the times that apostle Paul was suffering for the LORD.. yet He saw JESUS with him.. and decided to press on.. Now that is strength in his weakness!!

I am reading a book by Heidi Baker.. of Iris Ministries.. Compelled by Love..

She & her husband are in Mozambique.. and her ministry is all about loving others like Jesus.. At one point in their walk, the powers in that country put a price tag on her head.. $20.. they were disliked by the witch doctors and all manners of lies were being told about them..

A man there told her that he had an AK-47 and would kill the people you had put a bounty on her.. but she told him no.. that the had to love them and forgive them..

They were chased out of their buildings.. had to retreat with as many kids as they could stuff in the truck and head to their office in another city.. the people were shoulder to shoulder.. crowded into this tiny office.. and hungry..

A woman.. not knowing the situation.. came with a small pot of chili & some rice & corn bread.. she was so surprised when she saw all the children.. she wanted to go back home and cook more..

But Heidi said.. no there is always enough with Jesus.. and they started dishing out the food.. those tiny pots of food fed everyone.. full.. the food did not run out until the last person was full! God multiplied the provisions.. Glory to God!

The authories threatened the people & childen left back at the camp.. but these people refused to deny Jesus and sang danced.. loved & forgave..
and they lived..

Years later, these same authories came to Heidi & apoligized.. the children from their school had test scores that were the highest in the nation.. Many of these men even accepted Jesus..

Her message is Love.. & Forgive.. in ALL circumstances..

I have books by Heidi Baker!! The name of the book is different to what I have read.. but I have read that story before.. Praise GOD!!

Compelled by Love is her latest book.. it is on the Beatitudes.. and yes, some of her stories are the same.. I have heard her speak on some of these things at conferences too.. at the last one we were at she gave Mike a big hug..

She insists on coming into the room the way the regular attendees do.. the ladies at the door love her.. because she is so humble & real.. Mike saw her in the lobby as she was coming in.. he told her that we pray for her and that we love you, Heidi Baker.. And she said, Let me give you a hug!" She loves sitting on the floor with the people.. Some times, she can barely stand anyway.. being so overcome by the Love of Jesus..

One line that is engraved on my heart is her definition of Ministry..

Ministry is simply loving the person in front of you..

Yes I believe that.. I have only seen video footage of her.. but ohhh my goodness the love of Jesus does so radiate from her even from that.. I want to be like that.. Ha..

What a great definition of Ministry.. Thanks for sharing sis.. it is simply beautiful!! Your hubby was hugged by Heidi and Jesus!!
