John, how's your wife doing after the accident?

Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage

Yea, Rad how is she doing?

It's been a strange couple weeks. So, my one sister gets divorced after only being married a year - the one who got married in Aruba. One of the reasons for the divorce was that he wanted kids and she didn't. After leaving him she gets involved with what I'll call the rebound. The day after the divorce was final, she took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. A few days ago she miscarried. She has informed us they are going to try again. No intentions of marrying him. It's not like she can't afford it - she has a very good job, but she has to do a lot of travelling, mostly by car but some flying. She knows what the Bible says and has no interest in it, so I'm not going to shove morality down her throat - I'll be an aunt again and being there for the kid is more important to me. It's just so weird and wrong.

What a strange story, Flip. People can be so weird, as you say. I won't even tell you a story about my sister.

I'm very glad the future child will have you for an aunt. And I agree about the wierd and wrong. Prayers for your family.

And I have a question for my dear Lutheran friends...

As many of you know, I've been making handmade jewelry for sale around Cincinnati and I've even made a rosary for Zec (he should have pictures!) and a few other things for friends on the internet.

I've been wanting to get into wire work and one of the things that's (to my eye) gearing up to be "hot" is Sea Glass (or Beach Glass). I'm just wondering if there's any beach adjacent members who would be willing to look for some sea glass for me. Anytime you're at the beach and think about it is just fine. I'm in the "market" for any colors...of course rare colors are awesome but not necessary. I don't want anyone to go out of their way to do it...just if you're at the beach and happen to think of it.

I'm willing to pay in jewelry/handcrafted beaded items or even local Cincinnati foods or things like that. Overseas? I can send you pretty much any "American" treat you'd like, providing I can both find and afford it!

Anyway, if any of you can help, I'd be most appreciative!

Poor Land-locked Kae.

Next time I'm on the beach, I'll have a look. With summer on its way, I imagine the beaches will be well-combed, but the channel is busy and I assume lots of things get churned up.

Do you have any sample photos of what qualifies? The beaches here are rocky, so I don't know how long fragile glass might survive if washed up.

Hope you enjoy your hiking at the Ledges.
You've never met the guy.
Ever had a pastor turn and walk away while you're mid- sentence?
That is only one example. (of many)

Hope you had fun hiking.

I bet you are happy he's finally leaving - I know he had been a kind of cancer to your congregation for some time. Quilty, with all due respect, he was a bad one. Openly preaching that gays should be allowed to be pastors, right, and that's only scratching the surface.

Sorry I don't get on here much. Johnsgal is better. Just had massive brusing from the accident. We canceled a family reunion with her family in TX and visits with my family in OK. Maybe next time.
