Well, the last opportunity crashed & burned. Yet there is hope: I was just called by a recruiter with an opportunity that's about ten minutes further out or so.
We just keep on pushing.
Hang in there, Arch. Something will happen for you. May God go with you as you wait on Him.

As mentioned elsewhere, it's not under the greatest terms. It's 47% less than the average recommended for a person of my experience, 25% less than I was making before, and lower than the lowest 10% salary for even entry level people in this region.
Under other circumstances, I'd be in a position to tell him to go fly a rock. I am not in those circumstances.
I don't know if we're going to survive with this salary. It means cutting out everything, and my son is the only one who's going to have Christmas presents ( pretty much thanks to my parents ). The rest of the offer is fairly competitive, but God only knows how ( or even if ) we're going to survive the diminished pay.
This is the worst part of suffering through the ravages of Glory Theology. I still don't know if God's Glory has it in for me or not, and may never be sure.

Does your church do an angel tree for those who are experiencing hard times during Christmas? Some of the local schools do it too...check around...sometimes they even include adults which is so nice!!!
