Undercover is a music magazine.

There is a St Vincent De Paul food van that visits Prince Alfred Park at Parramatta every night at around 10:00pm. The van is run by different volunteers each night from various Catholic parishes around Sydney. They had out free sandwiches and coffee to the homeless. The volunteers have compassion for the homeless and their compassion is not contrived. They do it because they want to help and because they have love for others. And they have a good sense of humour. They have to as a lot of the homeless have various psychological problems and tell strangely amusing stories.

("you might see things a little differently if you had a dying child..." indeed. i hope that, aside from not spending money on them that could be better spent on anything else at all, i would be the first to say "as somebody with a dying child i am too emotionally invested in this and hence my opinion does not matter")

Compassion is contrived and selfish as robbery?? What the hell are you on about, let alone on? This is a slap in the face to the teachings of Jesus and an insult to everybody who has made a difference to people who are at the lowest end of the societal chain.

Get out of your ivory tower and smell the petrol. One day you will end up being broke and down-and-out and be glad for anybody's help.
