The plan looks very nice--- I'm sure you all are working hard on the details and hence why its taken a few weeks. For members who are not aware--- discussions are slow paced usually because of real life stuff and time zone differences. Be patient with Staff

I am going to say this once and only once unless I need to rebutle a rebuttal.
This has ruined things for a lot of people... the teens forum was a place where a lot of activity was and a lot of friendships were. In short those of us older then 19 (i will be soon) are getting the boot 2 years early, and unable to associate with, or share our wisdom with the the younger ones.
Generic response: But you can post in the young adult, mens/womans, singles, ect. None of those are half as active as the old ones... and I think a lot of the teens are going to remain at the off cf forum, and the intention of separating them and keeping teens safe... has had the exact opposite effect.
The modding by ministry staff is fine, and a change i agree with. Other then that this is a bad idea IMO.
I did not intend any disrespect by this post, and doubt it will change anything but I wanted to say this anyway.

I am glad to see that you didn't make the age limit 18 and left it up to 19. I agree but also disagree with somethings too. However you guys put work in it and thats that I guess.
Like the person up above said I highly doubt the teens will come back though.

I disagree with this and the whole situation will probably result in me not coming here any more. Not as in, "I'm upset and I'm leaving!". More like, "I used to enjoy coming here but this seems to have been handled poorly and I believe the coming changes will make this site far less enjoyable for me, to the point that I am likely to lose interest."
There is a lot more that was put into the changes then just what's seen on the surface. It may seem like the ages are being cut off rather abruptly, but there are serious reasons for that. While a lot of people might not agree with it, we are all doing our best (especially the Advisors) to keep everything safe for the members, and the site itself.
We do know that a lot of teens are upset, don'tlike the changes and won't come back. For that we are sad, though I do understand, and wish you all nothing but well. For those who do want to stay here, we'll try to have the new area up and running as soon as possible.
I understand the whole timezone thing and why it might take a little while. But... weeks? Sorry if I'm being impatient but the teen forums disappeared rather abruptly with not warning or explanation until this thread (that i found). Maybe if you had made an announcement BEFORE taking the forum offline and then welcomed input from teens and other users instead of just being like "Ok we're the dictators here so this is what we're going to do and you're going to like it or else just leave". Ok maybe that's putting it a bit harshly, but really if you think about it... people like to have some say in what goes on. Of course we'll give you the final desicion because it is you guys who are in charge, but the forum was made FOR users, NOT administration. If the users don't get what they want, they will leave and find somewhere else to go.
Anyway, if that was rude or disrespectful or anything, I'm sorry. Just getting things off my mind.
