Why do professing Christians hate the righteousness of God so much?
(thank you to Ms. Beezy for permission to repost this thread in the right forum.) There appears to be a certain volume of professing Christians that seem to hate the righteousness of God. How is that possible? How can professing Christians who claim to love God, promote the killing of the unborn in all stages of life including the killing of them during birth, homosexual relationships and/or "marriages", Homosexual ministers etc.?
James 4:4 "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Romans 1:24-25 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

People hate God's righteousness because a huge portion of the Christian community isn't saved simple as that. These people are what Jesus referred to as tares among the wheat. You don't know whose a tare and whose a stalk of wheat until they both have time to mature so the church allows them to grow together for the time being.
Those that are truly converted love God's righteousness and holiness. Those that aren't, don't.

We don't hate God's righteousness, we hate the misinformed opinions about what the righteousness means from his legalistic followers.
Homosexuality is not a sin. We are not Israelites from 2000 BC who were busy trying to follow the pagan fertility rituals of the Egyptians and Caananites. Times have changed - so has the interpretation of the Bible.

How can you interpret the Bible differently when it comes right out and says that homosexuality is wrong?
"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:26-27)
The Bible says homosexuality is wrong. It might not be a popular viewpoint nowadays, but as Christians we are not supposed to follow what's popular in the world. Instead we are supposed to follow the word of God. We shouldn't just toss things out of the Bible because they don't go along with modern PC belief systems.
The Bible does not say that homosexuality is wrong. The passage that you quoted from Romans describes a group of heterosexuals who went against their basic nature and engaged in same-sex behavior during ritual orgies.

It is because of unrepentant sin. Humans are naturally wicked and repugnant creatures since the fall. They cannot hope to see salvation unless the are born again by the grace of God that is manifest in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and savior.
They don't understand because their will is in bondage to wickedness so they follow their father the devil.

Are you aware that Paul was referring to fertility rituals when citing that verse, and was not referring to committed same-sex relationships as we know the today, since the concept was foreign to them?
Even many conservative jews are moving to change the interpretation of the homosexuality verses, because the hebrew doesn't condemn what we know of us homosexuality.

Those who confess the Jewish faith are people who deny Christ is Lord, and cannot go to heaven unless they do.

Considering the word homosexuality didn't even exist when that written, it is not translated as what we understand as a homosexual.
