It's still a virtual deathtrap though, it doesn't have front and rear crumple zones, the bit that crumples is where the driver and passengers sit.

Oh yeah, we're supposed to be talking about what we like/dislike about Japan, not deathtrap, though kinda cool superficially, cars.

The entire system of giri and the Bushido code is a deeply fascinating one, worthy of much study, but it is only really unique in terms of the fact that it survived well into the era of firearms.

Perhaps no leader from the West, other than General Douglas MacArthur, had any understanding of what restoration of the Emperor meant to the Japanese people and the stability of that nation's society after WW2.

Whether or not you see china as a 'threat' is irrelevant, many people living in Japan during the 40's didn't consider the US a 'threat' and assumed they could militarily dominate us, we all know how that turned out.
China is a economic and military monster that will always have Japan struggling to even stay in the race. Originally Posted by AkiraYamato 4. Japan is leading in science and engineering.
I don't know about science and engineering, but in Asia they certainly have the highest suicide rate. Hmm... |

Very efficient although the stewardesses were too short to put my bags in the overhead compartments, lol.
BUT....
The Hello Kitty thing...WWWHHHHHYYYYY??
No, in fact, the whole industry of females being stuck in a weird childish role. 'sup with that?
BTW, you should worry about China. Yes, they make subpar products for the moment, but look at the economic power they wield despite that. If they ever figure out how to innovate and dominate a market...god help us all. Personally, I prefer Chinese culture to Japanese; they were very welcoming and eager to help out foreigners (Western ones, at least) and my time there was great. I had amazing friends there and never got the feeling anybody I met looked on foreigners as inferior.
