Science can not prove a creator, but science can leave traces of circumstantial evidence that make the conclusion rational and reasonable. An analogy could be how science empirically detects black holes. The math predicts them. They can not be seen directly, but their effects can be seen.

At which point? I agree science can not be used to observe, analyze or prove God. I am claiming, as I said, that science can be used to observe His creation and lead us to rational conclusions about Him.
