Since this is in the general area, versus the WOF area, I'm assuming you want everyone to answer honestly, without debate.
So why are you Word of Faith.- I am not.
What attracts you? Nothing. If I felt lead to be WoF, then I'm sure something would have led me there.
What are some of the benefits you have had? I have had many benefits. Recently a job closer to home.
How has the Word of Faith helped your relationship with Jesus Christ? It hasn't helped at all.
What is the main message of Word of Faith? I don't know, but if you go the WoF area, they may be able to help.
This is not a debate thread - it so the members who are Word of Faith can share why they are Word of Faith.
Then why not post it in the WoF area, as it seems that if it's only directed at WoF people, then that is why the WoF forum was started. I am not debating this, as these are my honest answers, and request you not debate my answers as well.

Two quick things -
First - you could have stopped right there and it would have been just as helpful.
Second - I placed this hear for Word of Faith people to share some about what they have found in the Word of Faith. Communication.
We're told in thread after thread what we are supposed to believe - I wanted a venue for Word of Faith to share a little about what was important to them personally. I made it no debate so that the thread could be relatively free of strife -
Thanks to the mods for helping that remain.

Not quite. When you die, your body dies. It is not "healed". It "dies". Your spirit lives on for eternity, but your body is not "ultimately healed". It is dead.

I totally disagree with your logic because this is what this forum is about: "A subforum where WOF and non-WOF may discuss their different theological ideas"
And your posting isn't a theological idea, so it should be moved and put into WOF forum.
If you are as honest as you claim that you are, then why did you post it in the first place, because I see it as baiting NON WOFers.

No sir. That is what the DEBATE subforum is for. This is NOT the debate subforum.

Where Peter is, there is the Church. Where the Church is, there is eternal Life.
"The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society"- Mother Theresa
"But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child - a direct killing of the innocent child - murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion?
As always, we must persuade her with love, and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even his life to love us. So the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love - that is, to give until it hurts... her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts. By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems.
And by abortion, the father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. That father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching the people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. That is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion". - Mother Theresa
I think this post is good.. that we WOF can come into this forum and feel loved and listened too.. is good.. That Balance did this shows he is trying to bridge any gaps..
The personal responses just show where peoples hearts are.. we should listen to each other and why we believe the way we do and be interested in what WOF and non WOF believe.. We should love one another.. and respect our differences..
We can all learn something from each other.. we are all GODS children.. aren't we!!

Wow. This thread was moved. Anyway, funnily enough I didn't realize how much of a Word of Faither I am and have been for quite sometime until a few weeks ago. I guess about a year ago, my friend Wiley introduced me to what Word of Faith was and I basically thought that I agreed with it but that I wasn't really a part of that movement so to speak. Then I started debating in the sub-forum here a couple of weeks ago, and yeah, guess what? I was just speaking out for what I already believed anyway and that coincided with WOF doctrine. Now Wiley says he is patiently waiting for me to break down and change my faith icon. I find it pretty funny.
In response to the questions, all I can really say is that the core of my belief conincides with Word of Faith doctrine. I don't evne know that I can break it down and explain it. It is just who I have become in Christ. I sought the truth. I found that truth in Christ. i then desperately wanted to personally, intimately know Christ in a tangible way. The only way I could do that was through consuming the Word, which built my faith. I made a commitment to believing the Scriptures and believing that God would always be true to His Word and I began studying Scriptures, which delivered me from the Occult.
I really went about it rather systematically and logically to tell the truth. If God is who He says He is, then He will do what He says in the Scriptures. It was that simply for me, so I basically like, "Ok, I accept it God, so let me see it happen so I can be assured that you are indeed the One True Living God and what I have come to know of you is the truth." And He has never failed me.
