I am not Word of Faith because of any benefit it occurs. I am Word of Faith because it is what the Bible teaches: the Word of God produces faith and faith pleases God and moves mountains, heals the sick, changes life and makes us pure.
To suggest that people are only Word of Faith because of the benefits it entails is to suggest people are only in it for the benefits.
There are benefits to being a Christian, in fact the Psalmist says that He daily loadeth us with benefits. We are told not to forget His benefits such as forgiving us all our sins and healing all our diseases.
Why would I want to be part of a Christianity that ignores the Biblical command to forget not that He heals all our diseases?
My friend left his Word of Faith church,he is happier now because he says that now he is hearing a go and give message.Jesus was always talking about giving,not getting.
That is exactly what Word of Faith teaches. Give give give.
That's why we must use His discernment to know the difference between wolves and sheep. It's the same story even among denominational groups. There are some horrendous denominational leaders out there! If the Word of God isn't being preached, then it's best to steer clear, isn't it?
