Been Tempted To Join Islam Lately

Hi everyone. I am just requesting everyone's prayers, advice, and support. I have been greatly tempted to join Islam lately. Islam seems like such a beautiful religion (though not nearly as beautiful as Catholicism). Also, some of their arguments are rather convincing. For example, they teach that the Quran mentions things that science did not know about until recently. One example of this is the brain. I can't remember exactly what the argument is but I know it was a convincing one. That said, I realize that the Quran is not a science book but a religious book. Please pray for me and offer me some advice and support. Thank you.

Ave Maria, do you realize that you would have to deny Jesus as not only your Savior but also as the Second person of the HOLY TRINITY?

That is a majory thing. Better give this some thought and prayer.

Muslims only regard Christ as a prophet, not as God whom we know He truly is.

hi, sorry, not a catholic but i went through the same struggle. the quran does mention stuff discovered by science and it is very amazing.
bit of history, Mohammed, received the quran by having it dictated to him by an angel which appeared in a cave, supposedly gabriel.
without meaning to be too cryptic, think about that for a while.

Run away from Islam sister. If having your nose busted and treated like dung is your thing then it's your thing. As someone who was in the Military and has had real experience with Islam I can assure you that you would want no part of it, especially after you were in it.

Look into "Sharia law" and read into it. Your jaw will drop. God bless you and keep the Christian Faith.

Hmmm your tempted by a religion that preaches that heaven is basically a big orgy? Think about it. The promise of islam is that you will go to heaven and be given a bunch of virgins, all the drink (alcohol) and food you want. And btw, the surest way to get there? Die while killing non-believers. Not sure where the beauty you referring to is.

Thanks everyone. I have decided to remain Catholic. I actually decided this quite some time ago. I could never deny my Savior or the Trinity.

Lord, have mercy on me for being tempted to join Islam.

Scriptures tell us if an angel bring a new gospel, the angel is anathema.
Jesus said 'False prophets will perform great signs and wonders that may even fool the elect.'

Basically, the claims laid by Islam that he foretold 'miracles' or signs - are really lame and even been shown to be too basic to be actual prophecies.
