The Power Of Love
Romans 5:5
I. What To Do With This Love.
We are become rooted and grounded in the love of God. This will enable us to walk in it - Eph. 3:17-19; 5:1-2.
This is the "AGAPE" or the God kind of love. It is distinguished from any type of human love and is much more powerful.
II. The Power Of This Love.
1. Love covers ALL SINS - Proverbs 10:12 (1 Pet. 4:8); Proverbs 17:9.
2. Love CONQUERS sin - Romans 13:8-10; 1 John 2:10.
3. Love makes FAITH WORK - Gal. 5:6; Mark 11:22-26; 1 Cor. 13:2.
4. Love gives us POWER in prayer - 1 John 3:22-23.
5. Love DESTROYS Fear - 1 John 4:18; 1 Tim. 1:7.
6. Love NEVER fails. It overcomes all circumstances - 1 Cor. 13:8; Song of Solomon 8:7.
7. Love BUILDS UP the Believer - 1 Cor. 8:1.
III. Summary.
There is one simple way to have God's love and that is to be born again - 1 John 4:7.
