1) They can not see that Paul's ministry and commission is 3 fold .
, in Acts 9:15 .
# 1 ,to bear my name to the Gentiles
#2 , and to Kings
#3 , and to the children of Isreal
2) The deniers are Covenant Theology and Acts 2 , so -called dispensationalist or Acts28 believers .
3) All deny that there were Jews still keeping the Law of Moses in Acts 21:20 .
4) The Context in Acts 21:18 , it is James and the elders were present .
5) And James is glad to show Paul , how thousands of Jews are ZEALOUS of the Law of Moses in verse 20 .
6) And Acts tells us all , what Paul's ministry look like in his early ministry in Acts 21:21 .
7)In v21 , James says to Paul , that they are INFORMED of thee , that thou TEACHEST all the JEWS which are AMONG the GENTILES to FORSAKE Moses , saying that they OUGHT not to CIRCUMCISE their children , NEITHER to walk after the Jewish customs .
8) Here , Paul's ministry to the Jews, is ?
#1 , to FORSAKE Moses
#2 , DO NOT CIRCUMCISE
#3, do not , NEITHER walk after Jewish CUSTOMS .
9) The Greek word for Teachest is DIDASKO, teach them to learn .
10) The Greek word INFORMED is KATECHO , WHICH MEANS , to instructe , teach , to sound down into the ears .

The church doctrines given by Paul are laregely "mysteries". Indeed the mystery of Christ, the theme of Ephesians, is said to be revealed through the Apostle. It is the mystery that Jew and gentile are to be joined as one in one body after the enmity, the law is taken away. The reason for the mysteries is because they were not spoken of in the OT. Actually, this whole church age was hidden from view to the OT prophets.
It was not a mystery that God was going to saved the gentiles through the Jewish nation because we have many OT prophecies to that end.
Here are a few Paul put together:
Ro 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers:
9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
Now, these prophecies will fit whether there is a church or not.
The point is: The offer of the kingdom to the Jews was a ligitimate offer. There was no church revealed in the first few chapters of Acts and if Israel would have accepted the New Covenant with it's promise of the Spirit and salvation, then those doctrines of the church would have remained hidden and would never have been revealed. The gentiles would have been converted just like the OT prophecied they would and like they will be in the Millennial reign of Christ.
It was only after the Jews rejected the Spirit that the gospel began to exceed Jewish boundaries and all the saved Jews, who had received the gift of the Spirit on the conditions of repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ and had been baptized in water were reckoned as the first to be in the body.
Ephesians says it:
Eph 1:12 That we (Jews) should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. (Jews trusted in Christ in Acts 2).
Eph 1:13 In whom ye (Gentiles) also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
"also" is a word of addition.
Just in case one some do not think Ephesians is addressed to gentiles:
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
No one should get the idea that I an saying one must be baptized to be saved, because that is not the case. However, the Jews in the beginning were required to be baptized as a condition of receiving the Holy Ghost because for the new covenant to be a national covenant, all Israel, from the least to the greatest must recieive him. There must be a token of their acceptance.
Ac 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Ac 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
Jesus Christ said to a Jew that one must be born again to enter into his Kingdom; Jn 3:7 There is no physical kingdom set up until every Jew (and gentile) is converted:
18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. (That means the only ones not destroyed are those who did hear him)
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
To say that the Jews who believed before the gentiles were accepted into the beloved are not in the church is to absolutely miss the clear teaching of scripture: This should settle it for anyone:
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (jew and gentile)
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
This is too simple to get wrong. The church had its beginning in Acts 2 but it had its revelation in the writings of Paul, after the Jews had rejected Christ and the gentiles had been made partakers of the Jews NT spiritual blessings, which was the Gift of the Holy Ghost and forgiveness of sins in the name of Jesus Christ.
If the Jews had not have rejected Christ, then there would not have been a church and no one would have been the wiser. History would have been written much differently! |

Open your eyes and see the 2000 year revelation of the mystery as written in the new testament which is an extention of the Old. Not something totally new and different. It simply explains what was in the old testament as prophesy.

Wow! Hi Messenger!
I've been looking all over this forum for someone with Wisdom, pleased to meet you
Of course Paul's message to the Gentiles was the Word God promised to Israel. It was into the Gentiles that God SCATTERED Israel centuries earlier. It was the means by which "All the families of the earth would be Blessed in the Singular Seed of Abraham, which was Christ! By Christ Calling His People out of the Gentiles by the Gospel is the means by which "All Israel is saved"!
Correct?
Please let me know if you understand this!
