ID and Astrobiology
Abiogenesis and Evolution make predictions as to roughly what kind of environment will predict life. Namely we're looking for planets with a certain chemical composition, a certain size, and a certain distance from the parent star. This is why there's a rush to develop techniques to detect earth-sized planets within the habitable zone of worlds, and by distribution theory there should be a lot of em out there.
What predictions does ID make about where to look for life elsewhere in our galaxy? How can you extrapolate from it information that could assist in this search?
maybe someone will correct me on this but it seems to me that ID / creo has it that God just makes the laws of physics etc do whatever suits. so by that we could have planets hot as Venus or Mercury with life forms that use melted lead in their veins, or maybe steel; why not have steel that melts at 0 C? Live by eating lava rocks? Where would the rules or limits have to be?
Any reason that isnt reasonable by ID / rreo standards?

Remind you: Plant is not a life. (so you eat a cabbage does not mean you "killed" that cabbage).
It is certainly true that "a plant" is not "a life" any more than 'a person' is "a song".
That is why we have different nouns with different meanings. How confusing if we just said "(noun) and (noun) got in the (noun) and went to the (noun) for a (noun)"
life:
the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by ...........
Plant
any member of the kingdom Plantae, comprising multicellular organisms that typically produce their...........................
See? Two different nouns, two different meanings.
Or of course, as used in Juv's sentence, "plant" may be a verb as he omitted the article. Even more clear in that case; a verb isnt a noun!
Is there btw anyone on planet earth besides juv that thinks that plants are not alive?
could juv tell us if he thinks this way just so as to maintain the story of no death in Eden?
ps; your offending my atheistic religion which reveres nature as god. I wish you would be more thoughtful and considerate of others peoples false beliefs, just as we are of yours ;p

Let's not play word games here. The overwhelming majority of the population say plants are alive. Probably all scientists define plants as living organisms. This means your redefinition of the term 'life' is fringe status, and when scientists are looking for life on other planets, this includes plants- this is what's important.
Beyond that, I have no clue what purpose your statement serves in this thread.

As a Plant Physiologist, I take severe offense at this statement.
