As for having the same or stronger feelings for one of the same sex, this is wrong and should not even be entertained. When we struggle (I Peter 2:11) with a sin (any sin) we should never choose to put ourselves in a situation where that sin is taking place. This is a very difficult thing to do especially if we have dear friends we want to hang out with and really would enjoy partaking in that sin. For instance, if I am married but know I have a weakness for alcohol and woman then I should not go out with guys to a popular club for even just 1 drink because that will turn into 2 then 3 then we’re closing the place and who knows what else. We all have to choose between the things God wants us to do and the things we naturally want to do (God’s ways are not ours ). It comes down to whom do I love more? My family, friends, myself or God. If it is God then things/people of this world will hate us (James 4:4,1 John 2:16, 1 Cor 2:14) and this can make us feel alone. But we will find an ever increasing comfort as we grow closer to the Lord. I find the question to ask when considering to do something or not is; is this activity God glorifying? If not then try to avoid it and never stop asking God for help in living the way He wants us to. Only he can change our heart. Just thinking about this, it also seems that more and more in our day we can ask ourselves this question in another way; is this activity largely accepted or approved of by the general populous? If it is then it is probably wrong but again keep on praying about it.
