But I saw it as an avenue taken in it's proper context.

Had Pope Benedict looking incredulous in it & 'seriously?' written below the pic. I loved that avatar. I think Tonks had it? Not sure. But I remember it getting me curious on the Pope's feelings & thoughts concerning Scripture alone.
This is just an example of how I look at lolsaints.

I'm happy to have found it.
I was talking about someone mentioned LOLjesus which is just a hateful site and mean.
I found nothing truly offensive about Lolsaints, though. |

Punditkitchen.com has some Lol-popes. Some are rather mean, but this one:
and this

and this
I think this is kind of funny, but just to compare - any catholics around here who think this is offensive?

I do see your perspective, but for us icons are very holy, so even if it's just on a blog or on a computer version we don't like to see them in that manner. Again, it just comes from a different understanding of them. I guess you could compare it to how many protestant churches might think it's fine to bring coffee and snacks into church (and even have coffee bars in them), but Catholics and Orthodox would find it very offensive if you walked into church munching on a donut and drinking a latte. The protestants aren't trying to be disrespectful, they just have a different understanding of the service.

I was busy looking at the art/captions & followed by clicking on the link below describing the art, picture or what have you.
I certainly did not mean to offend.
I think this would spark interest in certain people though. *shrug*

Worse than that, it's not even funny.
