When we are attacked again

I believe that at some point we will be attacked again by terrorists on U.S. soil. It'll probably be a biological weapon, but this begs the question when? We haven't been attacked for about 7.5 years, what are they waiting for? Did they just settlewith Iraq and attacking us there and now have moved on to Afghanistan to attack us there?

When we are attacked again I hope there will be a military draft and the american people will unite to fight our common enemy. Hoepfully we will travel to the far reaches of the globe, and defeat our enemies where they are. I feel that Barack Obama might last a whole two terms and never get attacked but at some point we will be attacked again and we will have to do what we must to defeat the terroists.

So what do you think about the possibility of being attacked by terrorists during the Obama era? Do you think we would have a draft at that point?

By terrorists, whom do you mean? Terrorism is not confined to radical Islamism and the Middle East alone. It is an occurrence that has the potential to rise in almost every ideology when it is taken to its utmost extreme. When you say 'defeat the terrorists', do you mean to defeat the terrorists of every ideology, a few ideologies or just one?

So what do you think about the possibility of being attacked by terrorists during the Obama era? Do you think we would have a draft at that point?
I would hope that you would not have a draft at that point if such an act of terror would eventuate, which I sincerely hope it does not.

How would a military draft solve the global problem of terrorism? A military draft, of course assumes that there even is a battle-field solution to terrorist activity.

i do not credit bush for no terror atacks since 9-11.

rather i credit the anger of americans.

if the attacks had continued, mecca would be a crater by now.

as it is the giant has gone back to sleep, and the terrorists are happy about that. lol.

This list, of over 12,000 terrorist attacks committed by Muslims since 9/11/01 (a rate of about three or four a day), is incomplete because only a small percentage of attacks were picked up by international news sources, even those resulting in multiple loss of life.

hey check out this web site, muslims are responsible for 95% of terror attacks. read an article a day.

The Clinton excuse: Everybody does it (even if they didn't, aren't now and have no sign of doing it in the future)

When you say 'defeat the terrorists', do you mean to defeat the terrorists of every ideology, a few ideologies or just one?
.
How about we start with the ideology which has adherents who have , in the last few decades, rammed jets into skyscrapers in New York, firebombed a nightclub on Bali, blown up two American embassies, killed Buddhists in bombing in Thailand, blew a hole in and killed sailors on the USS Cole, killed Hindus in Bombay and elsewhere in India, strapped bombs on themselves and blew up children in Israel, executed gays for the crime of homosexuality, stoned women to death for adultry, bombed the London Underground, bombed a Spanish train station and attempted to blow up passage jets over the Atlantic.

Or am I being unreasonable? There some other ideology which, to use Clinton speak, "does it too"?

That is precisely the point - you cannot claim to seek to defeat terrorism as a whole, since it would be a total lie. You are instead seeking to defeat one form of ideological terrorism, and therefore, should not claim to be attempting to defeat terror as a whole, it is misleading.

PS: You may want to edit that to read: 'radical Muslims are responsibe for 95% of terror attacks'. A lack of distinction would mean that you are no longer targeting radical Muslims as terrorists, but all Muslims.

Gracchus has disabled reputation
When we are attacked again, we will strike out blindly against the innocent, because we won't admit or don't care who is really guilty. It is the human thing to do. We will make it someone else's fault. It is the Christian thing to do.
We like to find scapegoats. We blame Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo for the second world war and ignore the fact that they could have done nothing without the obedience of the soldiers who marched to invade.
And we justify our own atrocities against the innocents on whom we rained bombs because it was war.
There aren't any good guys and bad guys. There are bad guys and worse guys, and both kinds are always found on both sides.
