Just getting through to a ghost that talked would be enough for me..
now there you lost me... I studied the bible for well over six months with one object in mind. I was going to meet this God of the Bible. I was going to learn everything there is to know on how to prepare to meet Him. I was going to give Him a chance to teach me what it takes to meet Him. I learned how He appeared to people, what did the people experience, see, hear, and feel. I wanted to make sure that nothing but the real God of the Bible was the one I met. He had to be Holy.
How did you know which god to contact? I suppose you were lucky 'He' spoke English.
not a hard thing for God to do
Or am I being too literal, because all of this took place inside your head?
Not in my head.. literally. Why is it no problem to believe in the devil appearing to people in a satanic worship service, but impossible for God to appear to a sincere searcher?

Both appearances are equally ridiculous and unbelievable,
and I take it you are joking, at least I hope you are. after all, all you did was read words in a book,
what did you get from reading Superman comics, the ability to fly?

Rev 3:20... He promises to come and talk with you too, if you are willing.

Rev 3:20... He promises to come and talk with you too, if you are willing.
The following question is very important. How does he treat those who are unwilling?
I have, for sake of argument, a pet rabit. That rabit is female. Next suppose that I am unwilling to believe that rabit is female. Does that make it male or female?
Truth is not democratic. Whether we agree or disagree with something has no effect on whether it is true or not. If god is true, then everyone should be able to see him equally at all times, whether they want to believe or not. The fact that he doesn't behave this way is very strong evidence that he doesn't exist. When something requires bias before it can be experienced, how are we supposed to know the truth? How do you know if it is a real thing, or your bias itself that you are experiencing?

Actually Rev 3:20 doesn't say anything about talking.
Rev 3:20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:20Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.
and Rev3:20 IN context
“Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning[e] of God’s new creation:
“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”

Isaiah 8:12-13 (NIV) "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread."
It was a spiritual feasts.. better than any fellowship I have experience with any other. Paul was unwilling but got to come in contact with Yeshua on the road to Damascus, so I am not saying that you have to do what I did to have a meeting with Him. All I am saying is that it is better to be prepared for a meeting wtih Him that to be confronted with one. It is like denying someone is coming, only to be shocked by his arrival. It is better to prepare for the coming, and not suffer shock.

Ever notice, Visionary, that every single time Jesus appeared to someone after His resurrection --- they ate?
"Come and dine" the Master calleth --- "come and dine!"

He does do that... it is wonderful too.

then you should have no problem describing his voice. what language did he speak in? did he have an accent? did he have an extended vocabulary beyond your own? was it loud or soft? do you think you could record god the next time he talks.
So your god is a 'He'.
-YES
I pressed this issue to its logical conclusion and was censured every time. So I can Herby rightly not call him a "he" if he lacks the details required to be a he.
