Straight men are aroused by images of women. No suprises there.
Gay men are aroused by images of men. Again, no surprises there.
Lesbians are aroused by images of both men AND women.
Straight women are also aroused by images of both men AND women.
What do you think of this research? I'd like to hear from a few gay users too, religious or not. However I should also mention that they also studied post-op male-to-female transsexuals (which I think screws up the research a little).
P.S. I remember hearing this - as a joke - in an episode of Family Guy:
Female Character: "You're chosing not to be a lesbian?"
Meg: "I thought being gay wasn't a choice?"
Female Character: "For men it's not."
I can see a few reasons for women being turned on by bother.
1 - they swing both ways
2 - Its taboo so therefore they find it hot
3 - Visually its more satisfying
4 - the pleasure that women receive from other women is always perceived as better, so they can see themselves receiving that higher pleasure
5 - images of straight sex are susually teh same thing where as with lesbian action it isnt really.

It is possible for a women to fall in love with a woman and a man to fall in love with a man
I agree; but, nor will I deny that sin is sin.

I've had a lot of personal experience being aroung lesbians and would agree that the percentage of women who can swing both ways is far greater than men. But we can't put them all or most of them in the that category. Most of the straight women I know are totally turned off by lesbians.
Many of the lesbians had dated guys or been engaged during their teens. Mostly trying to fit in with society's rules rather than fulfill themselves.
I suppose Calvinists have the right to believe in total depravity. I just wish they didn't feel they have to prove it.

Arguably the same goes for gay men, but they remain unattracted to women.
But my point is if our sexual orientation is determined by our brains, they why do lesbians seem partly aroused by men, or straight women aroused by other women?

Homosexuality has been show to be heavily (but not totally) determined by our brains, which would mean they we are unable to chose our orientation. Fetishes on the other had develop over time, and we have control over them.
In other words, I think this particular bit of research is asking whether being gay is an orientation or a fetish.

Politics make any such research particularly subjective. If a scientist were to discover, for example, that bestiality or pedophilia were genetic determined inclinations, that scientist would likely be ostracised by the scientific community and would be accused of supporting those perversions. If, however, a scientist makes the same observation about homosexuality, the emotional reaction by his opponents will be less vocal (homosexuality is not nearly as threatening as pedophilia, for example), and he would have base of supporters to ensure that his career as a scientist would not by drastically hindered by the announcement of his discovery.
I don't know the whole extent to which homosexuality is determined by nature. My suspicion is that some people do, in fact, have a predisposition (whether this is genetic, I do not know, but I tend to doubt it) to homosexual attraction. Whether that means that homosexuality as a lifestyle is morally good from a Christian standpoint is another question, one that I tend to stay away from because it is not a question in need of answering in regard to my own decisionmaking. (In other words, I have no desire to engage in homosexual activities, so it is irrelevent to my life whether this is sin.)
