What is most religious, or spiritual, most intense, experience you've had with God?

This is one of them.

Right after I was saved a Unification Church "missionary" came into our restaurant selling peanut brittle for $3.00.
{I didn't know anything about the Moonies at the time.}
Because he was a missionary I gave him a $20.00 bill. That was all I had. He was so excited by my giving and enthusiasm he wanted to recruit me into his church.
He invited me to a bible study at their base. The base was a very large old home in my home town.
His name was Philippe. He had been a Moonie for 16 years.
When my fiancé and I went there were about a half dozen or more of other people present they had evangelized and were trying to recruit.
Philippe and Suzanna talked about the retreat center in upstate NY and how wonderful it was.
They insisted that we go. I told them I would but that I wanted them to come to my Church first.
I guess he figured it was a small price to recruit an Evangelist full of zeal. LOL
Several weeks passed before he came. No one in the Church knew he would be coming or about the deal I had made.
I had only been attending there a short time myself.
What Philippe didn't know was that this was not your every day Sunday go to meeting Church. It was a Church that was on fire! About 5 to 6 hundred attended each week.
He arrived just after the service started. He sang, clapped, and even raised his hands. Towards the end of the service there was a message in tongues on the other side of where we were sitting. The interpretation came from somewhere behind us.
All I remember of the interpretation was, "There is someone here who is trying to deceive my children" "Why are you resisting me, soften your heart and I will forgive you also."
He was exposed. His face turned white. When the service ended, he was at a loss for words. He literally ran out of the service. I never saw him again. They closed their base and left town. I still pray for Philippe. God has a purpose for him.
I never did go on that retreat.
A few months later a young man named Stephen who was at their bible study saw me in a parking lot. He asked if he could talk to me.
He said there was just something about Philippe and Suzanna that he didn't trust, but that I was different. I had the privilege of leading Stephen to the Lord right there in the parking lot.

There are two which seem good to share at this time .

The first experience was while living in a remote " christian " commune in the desert mountains . We had been eating lunch outside , and I was being distressed by troubling thoughts regarding how much misdirection , presumption , and blatant hypocrisy pervaded the lives of most ... strangely ( perhaps because my resulting mood was somewhat dark and threatening ), I soon found myself sitting alone , ( where as what seemed only a moment ago there was around 20 or so others sitting nearby ). With my troubling thoughts still swirling around creating almost a trance like state , there suddenly came a brightness that stood before me , but because I felt out of sorts with my troubled thoughts , I dared not look up directly , but I sensed it was The Lord ... Then The Voice which permeates all time , space , and matter spoke , and this is basically what I heard -


Secondly , while on an invigorating , extended hike - which at this point involved a long descent from a mountaintop , as I walked along in the ease of a rhythmic stroll , due to a rather smooth and gently descending trail , I began meditating upon a line in the hymn " A Mighty Fortress " , namely , " one little word shall fell him " ( " him " in this case being the adversary ) .
Then with a sense of The Lord's Presence welling up within and resonating all around , I asked , " Lord if I may , can I know what the " little word " is thus referred to by Martin Luther ? And my sight took me away to a future time and place , and though my pace continued with my sight redirected , yet my feet stumbled not , and for the next few minutes I beheld as though from an eagles soar , the earth below , from where I could see afar off with what could be described as a " zoom feature " ; so that I could clearly behold many things abroad and/or see individual scenes close up , and what I saw was a time of great distress and persecution for those who are trusting / waiting upon The Christ of God , as the devil launches his last ditch effort to reign as though God ( having been cast down from heaven - See Revelation Ch. 12 ). Many were imprisoned , many had fled to remote areas , they were hunted as prey for their faith and treated as criminals / prisoners of war . They're suffering was great , and my heart wrenched in empathy , but my spirit took strength from their perseverance ; then when it appeared that things had gotten as bad as they possibly could be for those daring to continue to believe in Jesus , without notice or warning , a brilliant light , many times brighter than the sun shone from above and penetrated throughout , shining as though entirely unhindered by walls of stone or concrete so that at the same instant everyone beheld the One and the same blast of brilliancy , whether praying upon the bald mountaintop or huddled together for warmth in the deepest , darkest dungeon - and they all ( the believers ) , looking up to The Light , with one voice of great exaltation cried out from the depths of their souls , " Hosanna ! " , and with no delay The Light lovingly lifted them up heavenward as every one of their mortal woes fell off and away to be left behind as they soared to ever be united with their Wondrous Saviour . And when the devil saw the Awesome Light and Great Deliverance it wrought he promptly withered as though all strength had been drained from his being , he was then easily bound without resistance and in a defeated fashion lead away , to be himself imprisoned .
Then the vision faded and The Lord said unto me , " this is the word for which you inquire ".
Whereupon my sight returned as before , except everything appeared distinctly brighter and clearer as I thanked The Lord , rejoiced , and walked on ...

SUPERNATURAL

In Him and through Him I have my being,
That in itself is so totally amazing,
For I who was made from the dirt of the earth,
Have now experienced a new birth.

The most supernatural thing of all is this,
Through the shed blood of Jesus I was forgiven,
Now there is a point here I don’t wan you to miss,
The greatest miracle o all is that I am on my way to heaven.

For something stood between me and my God,
I had sinned and fallen short of His glory,
Only the cross of Jesus could restore me to God,
By His grace He saved me and now I have a new story.

.A story to tell to the world of men,
For they too can know the wonder of their sins forgiven,
Now I know my God is a supernatural God,
I could nearly right a book on our supernatural God.

I have become accustomed to the wonder of His Presence,
I have even smelt His sweet fragrant essence,
I have had visions and heard my Saviour’s voice,
And even heard a sound like angelic voices.

My Lord has healed me and from bondage set me free,
Many miracles , signs and wonders I have seen,
I have witnessed the beauty of a babe newly born,
Bu the most supernatural thing I have seen is sinners being reborn.

Surely a party goes on in heaven when a sinner repents,
For two thousand years ago Jesus was from heaven sent.,
That we who had gone along our own way,
Might know Him and have Him come into our hearts to stay.

It’s supernatural and wonderful! Isn’t it?
