I just wanted to say something quick, The Lord is showing me piece by piece about sufferings, through my life. I speak of not just OCD but rather things such as persecutions and things I care not to say. I have spend a great deal of time in this forum with speaking to many of you, about your sufferins in which I have also shared in. The Holy Spirit has encouraged me today, to keep moving forward. And for you also to move forward as well. I think we can all say that OCD and everything that comes with it, is very trying on us, it deals alot of pain and suffering on us. I wanted to share with you some of the scripture that was brought on me, and God has made His point very clear to me. I am going to use Paul for this, for there is no man who has dealt with more glory and suffering than him. If you have chosen to be a child of God, you WILL suffer greatly. There is absolutly no doubt about that, Jesus was very clear. Not only will you have to deal with OCD but you will also bare the sufferings of others since you are now (since you became born-again) a child of God. You will be Sharing the suffering with Him. We also will Glory with Him Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. When Paul was blinded on the road to damascus was went to where He was directed by the Lord, the Lord came to Ananias (this was in acts) and spoke to Him and declared about Paul: Acts 9:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. Paul suffered more than any apostle, He suffered the most and he also saw the most glory! Read: 2Corinthians 11:23-28 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.Five times the Jews gave me forty blows but one.Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Here paul is talking about of his sufferings, but paul also speaks to us about his expertise in glory. (The man he speaks about is himself) perhaps while he was being stoned in Listra, not for certain. 2Corinthians 12:1-7 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. Paul in ALL his suffering that he endured while being a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and out of ALL of the Glory that was shown him by Christ, he said this: Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us The word reckon would mean back than to weigh upon. What he is saying that ALL his sufferings are not even worthy to even compare to what is in store for us. It takes on an all new percpective to me. to think that no matter how badly we suffer, it will not even compare to what God has in store for us..It kinda makes us say "bring on the suffering". Alot of us are so focused on our sufferings when in truth we need to be focused on Christ. And what the final outcome will be. all we need to do is put our trust in the Lord and keep fighting the good fight of Faith. When New Jerusulem gets surfaced, there will be no longer any suffering, we will be able to have personal fellowship with the Lord, no more need for faith, or praying. We will be in direct contact with the Lord and He will end all of our suffering: Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Anyway, just wanted to share that Let us praise the Lord Keep trusting in Him, never give up and keep fighting the Good fight of faith Blessings, James~

You got me thinking about suffereing again and how it relates to God's plan. Thanks for sharing. I used to focus a lot on how suffering was meant to shape us and develop our character and faith.. I am reminded again of that. Thanks.

I understand that sufferings on this world help to make us strong, and that we shall share in Jesus glory and that our present suffering is not to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us.I understand that it helps build character.I know these are excellent scriptures and need to be meditated on.I also know Jesus , Paul and the disciples were persecuted for righteousness sake and that Jesus says people who are persecuted for righteousness sake are blessed and great is their reward in heaven.I am still confused by so much.Your post is encouraging and comforting though. You always support and help people so much here.Thankyou
Jesus Bless You
