I was leading a fast lifestyle and always rushing to some goals, and now i try to slow down, but feel so hard---------the racing spirit is always there.
I m wondering it is good or bad?
The bible also mentions that we r all in a race.
My first response off the top of my head is that we need not "race". God looks upon us as sheep. I have yet to witness a pasture full of racing sheep.
Psalm 23 reveals to us the spirit we must adopt as sheep of the Lord's pasture... hungry? Amen! Running a race as Paul talks about? By all means! But we must be careful we don't NOT stop and digest what God feeds us with, and gain our growth and strength from it before we move on!
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
3 He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
4 Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
5 You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever.
I also think of grazing cattle. Are they in a hurry? Ever saddled up a race cow?
Meditating is an important aspect of devoting time to God. Daily we must continually ruminate on the words of scripture. To ruminate is to do what “ruminants” do: chew cud. A cow has numerous stomachs, so that she can digest and redigest her food, and her body can squeeze every last bit of goodness out of her diet for optimum health.
Let’s chew on God’s Word for spiritual health. Memorize it, so that it becomes part of our very fabric, just as all the nutrition of the pasture grass becomes one with the body of a grazing animal.
I like to be where the rubber meets the road also. So I have learned (or been taught?) to live fast but to start each day slow with God. (Then I can go fast without damaging myself or others
Maybe He made us this way on purpose.

The word BUSY means Being Under Satan's Yoke.
We do run a race of endurance, and as we run our race we receive some awards of achievement. But the race is hard, and today it appears to have sped up, as it's March already and only 9 months to Christmas.
We run, but we do at times run that extra mile by bending over for someone else's needs.
We just try our best and run the race that corresponds with His Will and Purpose for our life.
It's good to be introspective. But sometimes it is time to act. I can't remember the Bible verse where God tells someone to stop praying and start doing. There actually isn't a Bible verse that says exactly that, but I think it may be a story somewhere.
Exodus 14:15 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.
Three of my favorite 'get up' verses: (Jesus told a lot of people to get up and do something - He still is.)
Matt 9:5 Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'?
Matt 17:7 But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up,...Don't be afraid."
Act 26:16 'Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you.

And I would like to add:
James 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
26If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. 27Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
He does tell us to be doers of the Word.
But everything should be by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
There may be times where you are running and times where you are just standing.

]For me the question was life. Do I feel alive. Am I any less alive if I don't feel it.
i often feel I need to do something to make sure I m a worthy human being,I m not worthless.
I feel guilty if I rest in bed for years because of health issues......and actually i was forced to rest finally because I was worn out.
And now my minds start to race again.......I desire to see a new direction........

Don't feel bad or guilty about things you can't control. God created all of us and He loves all of us. God created you special and unique. He knows you better than you know yourself.
You are a worthy human being. The voice inside of you that says you aren't is a lie from Satan.
