Long term prediction : Total collapse before December 25th.

Just keeping track of the predictions on this board.
So far it appears the doomsday predictors are way off.
However we have 8 more months to go before the year is over and we know that anything can happen |

Reps: 4,563,363,633,503 (power: 4,563,363,637) | | | Actually, when I predicted a DOW of 3000 I was not taking into account the massive inflation that is on the way as the US$ collapses. So this might not happen. But a DOW of 8,000 or 20,000 with a massively inflated monetary base is just the same, only idiots who don't know any better might think the market is stabilizing or growing, when the 'buying power' of their dollars crashes around their ears.
And, actually, the stock market is the WORST place to look for indications of what is happening in the real economy, because it is the 'tail' and not the 'head' in economic terms, and can be easily manipulated by off-handed comments by the Fed or other misinformants, who are 'legal' inside traders. For a real understanding of the performance of the economy, understanding and reading trends is much more important. And (in spite of blatant lies and manipulation of the 'official' data), the trends are hideous!

I've got a friend who gets a haircut from a guy who looks identical to Ben Bernanke, so I think the only logical conclusion is that this whole mess and our way of "solving" it is a Cylon plot. We're basically doomed. |

Here are a few of their posts: Wheristhetruth Some people have insane-optimism syndrome. Where is the recovery going to come from? Long term prediction : Total collapse before December 25th. The Nihilist We're basically doomed. I have not seen many posts that resemble the ones above lately. Do you think that the closing of the DOW the last several weeks has anything to do with the silence of the pessimist? August 4, 2009 DOW CLOSE 9320 Ref: www.Market Watch.com Sdmsanjose DOW Prediction on 3-3-09 Between July and December 2009, Dow = 9,000 I am going to gloat for the moment because if the DOW goes below 5500 the pessimists will be back giving their doomsday predictions. However, for the last several months the pessimist have been dead wrong. I know there is 4 more months for the end of the year and that the DOW can go down but for now the pessimist’s silence is refreshing! |

Reps: 4,563,363,633,503 (power: 4,563,363,637) | | | Yes, I admit I have been out in my prediction. However, what I am more interested in is observing the trends we see developing in the real economy.
This is what we are seeing:
- At least 40 US states on the brink of bankruptcy.
- A growing list of nations worldwide effectively bankrupt.
- Millions in the US are facing long term unemployment and are already or about to fall out of the 'safety net' of unemployment insurance with NO INCOME!
- More than 10% (and growing rapidly) of the US population reliant on food stamps for survival.
- The US$ becoming increasingly unstable as the world begins to turn away from extending the credit card any further (bond sales slowing and on the brink of failure!)
- Civil unrest growing as FINALLY citizens in the US come to realize that their governments have failed them and have conspired with the globalists in stripping them of their wealth to hand it to the corporate elites on Wall St and the mega-banks.
- Major corporations running out of accounting tricks to hide the fact that they are IMPLODING! Massive corporate failures about to cause the second leg down (and much worse) of this current crisis.
- The main-stream media refusing to do any investigative journalism worthy of the name when it comes to exposing the massive fraud and corporate-government conspiracy behind the GFC.
- A further conspiracy by the globalists to place every human being on the planet in slavery to a system of 'carbon reduction'. This is simply a plan to tax every form of activity conducted by humans, and will ensure a further meltdown of the world economy.
- So what if we can't predict the value of the DOW, which is manipulated by insider trading to the degree that it is a fixed table in the world casino.
I don't really care whether you gloat or not. Just take a look at the REAL WORLD and you will not need to worry about any particular metric as an indicator.

This thread is about a particular metric indicator called the Dow; hence the title of this thread, DOW PREDICTIONS. It seems you attempted to want to change the topic from “Dow Predictions” to your interpretation of the “real world”. I know that we are in a financial crises but you assume that someone who is not as pessimistic as you are must not be looking at the real world. I look at the real world but just see that the pessimist have really missed the mark these last several months. You do know about the worst economy crises in U.S. history in the 1930s don’t you? That crisis was worse than the one we are in now and we did not collapse.
