A false miracle

(the following is based on the limited information provided)

From what you write, some church is going to claim that a miracle came from God. This implies that it did NOT come from God.

Now the important question: Where did this miracle come from?
If it comes from a lie then it came from the father of All Lies.

What church embraces this father?

I'll answer this post later. I have some things I need to take care of. Also, I'm being intermittently moderated.

Where do the churches miracles come from ? The church(es) involved do their own miracles, for reasons that I will not get into. The Christians involved are true Christians, or so it is believed.

The church(es) involved are Protestant, not Catholic, but they are Charismatic, which is why I posted in this section in the first place.

If you could do something about this (message to all readers/posters) what would you do?

I have been away on LOA and I am guessing the entire explanation may be over in the Spirit Filled forum. I will have to spend some time over there reading. I haven't check it out yet but I will.

Hi, you say the people in this church are christian. If they really are christians why are they planning to make a mockery of the church??? Setting up a fake "miriicle" will ber found out sometime. Therefore either tell the pastor or a deacon etc. if that does not put a stop to it then make iot known to every one or anyone that will listen. Ohhh , I know write a letter to the editor of the local newspaper!!! Do it today!!!

There is a little PT Barnum in some tent shows and television ministries....to keep the excitement up, to get folks to give, to get people to believe... some look at it like a business or entertainment.....wrong...

Some ministries are genuine, people pray for 3-4 hours before the service starts, during the service...and the Lord touches some , heals some....which looks like
a very strange or wierd presentation

Some had a problem with Rodney Howard Brown....some had trouble with Oral Roberts....Tilton, Baker, Swaggart....Brannan, Dowie.....many have come and gone, many have started with God and became corrupted by men...

pray for them ...ephesians 6.18-19 that they present what God has laid on their hearts....pray a hedge of protection about them , a hedge of thorns between them and bad decisions, temptations, and torment

I can only tell you what I would do in that situation. If I were there, I would first go to the leadership of the Church and make sure they were aware of the situation. If they were aware and didn't do anything, or were complicit, then I would find a different church, and I would tell my friends and family (if they are involved in that church) exactly why I left.

I wouldn't see it as my business to expose the church in some grand public fashion, however, I would see it as my concern to inform those with whom I have direct involvement and thus a certain degree of responsability for.

PS. When I say I would inform friends and family why I left, I don't mean that I would try and convince or pressure them to leave. I would give them the facts (provided they weren't aware of them) and from that point, its their decision to do as they believe God directs them.

There are usurpers in the church everywhere, the bible tells us to be careful in that regard.. if it's not scriptural.. leave.

I have seen some weird stuff in charismatic gatherings also.. and I am, real sure it was not of God.. however, people were healed there.. so I don't know what to say. I do know the congregation were mainly very faithful people, perhaps just misled for a moment. This one church, the lady pastor robbed a bunch of people.. took their very generous donations to build a building and left town.

perhaps, the closer we get to God, the harder the enemy works to destroy us.

Just be careful everywhere would be my best advice on this matter. Your friend should make his claim publicly known.. you know, in the bible where God says to the guy keeping watch.. Jeremiah.. But God says.. you know what is happening, what is coming.. and if you do not tell the people I will require their blood from your hand.. something like that he says.

I would have to look it up, pretty sure it's in Jeremiah...
