My new marriage is falling apart... I need help please My name is Joshua R and my wife’s name is Melissa H, I say Melissa H because Melissa and I got Married on Jan 17th and when we got home from our honeymoon my mom had informed Melissa and I that my dad had lost our marriage license and that we were legally not married… this news crushed us.
As of Feb 17 our marriage has become void
i have become soo depressed, now she is talking about moving out because of the fighting that has been going on (i lost my cool) she said she loves me and we will work on it threw marriage counseling but she needs space right now
i lost God in my life guys i failed at becoming the spiritual leader and my anger problems have came back to haunt me (I THOUGHT I HAD IT UNDER CONTROLL) please pray we come together and this gets resolved fast... i cant sleep, eat OR work I CANT BELIEVE I DID THIS TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE PLEASE GUYS PRAY FOR US, IM SO SAD THE TEARS JUST KEEP ROLLING AND SHE WONT LET ME TALK TO HER. HELP ME GOD HELP ME!!!!
I don't know how the US marriage system works but isn't there a way to get a copy of the marriage license some how? I mean you must have had some witnesses there that can verify and the pastor/priest/judge that married you?

In the USA, a License is only for tax purposes and for documentation. Once it has been issued and the Minister has performed the marriage it is done. You are legally married actually once the license has been issued by the county or state, NOT when the minister performs the ceremony. ask any notary.
You are married in the eyes of the law and dont have to worry about the lost license. The clerk of the court keeps a microfiche copy and can print out 1000 copies if you want them. I have been married 13 yrs and have never needed mine and probably couldnt find it anyway!
But I will pray for you and your bride that the anger and hurt will evaporate in His grace and Love. I am always available to pm.

Its ok to argue in marriage , nothing is perfect in it , she wants space but she will come around and everyone loses their cool sometimes and fights. But u both love each other and made a vow in the eyes of God and he will keep u both together. The ring is a circle that never ends .. even when bad times happen and words we wish we didnt say come out of our mouths . The Lord is watching the both and will guide you and both of you are in my prayers. If u need prayer or need to talk pm me .. I have been married 11 yrs and i have had my ups and downs but God will provide.

Amen". .....Some parting advice, all marriages have their joyful times and challenging times too. It's never all bliss. No matter what happens just trust in God to show you what he has in store for the both of you. As long as you have hope, in God's will and ask that his will come first then you'll be at peace with the outcome of the situation. Hope things work out for the two of you's. Chin up.
