There are some great lessons here that have been learned and I can apply such wisdom to my life. Thanks everyone for posting. I have also found with praying that while I do pray for others God now wants me to spend more time talking to him... thanking him and praising him, rather than just praying for others. Find a balance. The other thing is... when not accepting praise, make sure you don't get a big head from people telling you how humble and stuff you are... cuz I err... have been caught in that trap before.
Another thing I have learned is that, don't beat yourself up about heading downwards spiritually as because we aren't perfect, we will never have a perfect spiritual life. Also if we're always on a spiritual high then its unhealthy for us as we'd be totally exhasted all the time and sometimes the best "God" times I've had, are when I've just sat basking in his presence, (though I haven't always felt him there, I've always known he was there because he said he will always be with us). Well anyway.. I just want to thank everyone who has posted... I've really enjoyed reading the posts and learning things that others have learned (some similar to my own learnings). God Bless and never give upon Jesus or God.
For me it's to do whatever I want as long as I don't kill or maim the earth or any living creature in the process, especially my body - and to start teaching others to do likewise.
It's been about a month since I renounced going to junk food establishments because of the damage they do to people's health - especially young kids.
Why can't we have a 100% vegtartarian/vegan franchise that teaches kids about the pain and torture that poor defenceless animals go through as well as living and eating frugally?
lately ive learnt that home is heaven - that thats what we all have a longing for that we will never be fully satisfied on earth and we will never have perfecion here only in heaven. simply really but helpful cos i was feeling displaced after everyones families came and picked them up at the end of uni and i had no where to go.
also there is a song on the new hillsong album called you are worthy and the first lines are at the start of my signature - just learning that anything i gain is for Gods glory nothing is for my own and to lay my life down to exalt him not for my own purposes because that is pointless. that true servanthood is found in humilty - and to those who are humble is given much responsibilty.

“You know, I have -- faith is a very big part of my life. And putting my life in my creator's hands -- this is what I always do. I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is." (sarah Palin)
Any crown ive ever worn, I lay it down. Any praise ive ever gained i give it all to you. For theres nothing in this world that can compare, you alone are worthy. (hillsong 2k3)

Oh Lou....that is so sad. Thing is Pet, life is a constant learning field, a constant battlefield.
In my lifetime, I have learned too much. And, have stepped on a few booby traps but lived to tell the tale. Everyday, even at my age, I am learning. Through this, I grow stronger. Can't tell anyone what I've learned lately because you wouldn't want to hear.

I renounce nothing. I am what I am and if people don't like me that way it's no concern of mine.
I agree about the animals Dario. Hate to see anything suffer. But, to be honest, I tried some vegetarian stuff the other day and it turned me off food for a fair while. Nobody buy vegetarian patties!!!
