We saw this same coming together after we experienced two Cat. 3 hurricanes 3 wks. apart back in 04. We seem to always see these acts of love and courage in catastrophes.
I praise God for His works in Australia now. I pray He moves in the hearts of many, turning them to Him who is the provider of first and foremost eternal life, and also our physical needs here on this earth. May the goodness of the Lord be revealed ever more in Australia.

LORD I believe that we are to be prospered.. and that any harm that comes to our homes and upon our finances is not from YOU!! LORD I pray for a revelation of the message of peace.. and the message of prosperity to YOUR people of the USA.. LORD YOU are going to uphold YOUR people thorugh this economic hard time.. we will shine like lights in a dark world.. FATHER as YOUR WORD goes forth from YOUR mouth.. I thank YOU that it will not return to YOU empty but is accomplishing what YOU desire and achieving the purpose for which it was sent!! HALLEUJAH!! People here are losing jobs, retirement funds, and banks are looking to the government for bailout. The government gets deeper and deeper in debt. I believe the shaking spoken of in scripture is here.
Hebrews 12:26 And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, "YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN." 27 This expression, "Yet once more," denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
I've got to share more on this. Hope I have the time, but you all know how that goes. I've got more to say about it. Here's one thing to remember in the next verse, "We receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken." And in the verse before, "See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking."

In answer to your question, Cindy, Canadians are undergoing the same difficulties that Americans are. We are pretty joined with you. It's a bit more on a smaller scale, but we are 1/10 the size population-wise, so it's hard.
My son-in-law is in Alabama on business and called me last night. He says while we have jobs in our city advertised in the newspaper in a space of about 10 columns, he sees in the newspaper down there way more job openings than we see.
I believe it may be all the same losses, but it is relative to each nation.

Thank you, kooolfriend! My husband is retired and we need about $800 - $1000 per month to meet all our expenses without dipping into savings, so he is looking for a job---not too many around. He is thinking maybe he should drive a school bus, as they are always looking for drivers.
We know that the Lord has something for Him where He can minister to people with the love of Jesus. He had a difficult time in his former life's work at the steel mill as men there were very closed to Christ. We are hoping that in this new stage of life that he will be able to make more inroads for Jesus than he was able to make before.
