Its supposed to be a day for prayer and atonement of SINS related to one's personal spiritual life.
Not turning it into another political rally to fight against the "fascists" from taking over the Republic.
most of the planet is not Jewish and encouraging people to turn to God hardly demeans the day, or those who who celebrate it in another way.

Who watches the Glenn Beck show? He brings up some stuff that even Hannity or Rush doesn't cover. Some of it is actually frightening. I suggest people watch it, or TiVo it if you're at work. Glenn Beck Program

why not live a life of sin and repent after?? well for one you don't know when you will stand before God and if you are standing before God then it is to late to repent..
I don't think there's a reason to "trust" anyone in journalism. I do think there's a reason to consider carefully their points.
I read "The Conscience of a Conservative" in the 70's and was dismayed at how well it had predicted the conditions of the 70's from 1964. Liberals claimed the 60's had changed the world. Conservatives knew that wasn't true, and their predictions proved out in the late 70's
Don't mistake Beck's longterm predictions as being outlandish. They're not.

I'm not worried about his predictions. I'm worried about his mental state.
