I just saw this thread.....


1. No one at CF in nearly 2 years has offended me. I don't recall anyone in GT ever offending me in the 3+ years I've been here. When that happens, my usual approach is to PM them and, in the spirit of Matthew 18, try to resolve things - assuming the best.


2. I am under the impression that I have offended others here. For that, I am deeply, deeply sorry. IF I knew who, I could do that more personally. Whether people believe it or not, I totally respect and honor faith and embrace all my fellow Christians as my FULL, UNseparated and equal brothers and sisters in Christ - and knowing I have said something that hurt them, hurts me. I apologize....


3. A lengthy word about me. I have done well in my life: not because I'm smart or able but because I'm focused and determined. I graduated from what I think is one of the top dozen or so ranked universities in the USA, with honors, at the age of 19, for ONLY one reason: I stick to the quest to know with a determination and stick-to-it-ness that can, I know, be intimidating. I don't give up until I "get it." And I have - at times - engaged in those quests here at GT. With some of you. It's NOT because I dislike any or disrespect any, it's because I think they have something to say to this, at least some piece of the puzzle or "answer" and I'm going to stick on it till I get that - or am forced to give up. I have that same determination as a teacher. When I work at a math tutor, I don't let the person get away with "okay." I want to KNOW that they "get it" - and won't give up until I do. Now, what get's "missed" in this very impersonal print medium, is that I'm a sweetheart. I really am! I'm regarded as a totally nice guy, one who embraces and welcomes and affirms - with a particularly open mind and even more open heart. (Why are you laughing, LOL!). That doesn't always come through when I post - and I DO regret that. I do TRY to remember to include my "heart" in my posts, to be affirming, but when I get "caught up" in the quest - I too often forget that. I'm not the "jerk" I can - it seems at times - be seen as. And I take the responsiblity for how I come across - intentional, accurate or not. My apologies. And I'm determined to work harder on that in the future.

I think the question all of you on this thread should be asking, is why the thread has been subsumed under the category "Sticky". Presumably whoever so categorised it doesn't feel comfortable about this type of thread in a Christian forum, which should get you thinking as to who is really running this forum.
