God uses Israel as a sign for us. As the author of Hebrews says, we take heed to His dealings with Israel and learn what He will do with us for the same sins.
Seems there's a choice on the next agenda on His list, by His examples to Israel -before a nuking like Sodom, maybe; either famine, or a devouring by wild beasts [supernaturally risen up to devour mankind], the sword, the pestilence, or all four severe judgments at once!!!

America is being judged.
I feel it deep down in my bones.
I see it all around me.
There is a denial of sin.
There is a lack of discernment about the eternal and unchanging laws of God.
There is a failure in the church to be the salt and the light in a culture spiraling into the moral abyss.
Let me caution my countrymen that this path leads only to destruction.
I urge you to take some time to study Romans 1.
We're told beginning in verse 18 what brings on the wrath of God. It applies equally to individuals and nations.
This chapter tells us we are without excuse – believers and non-believers alike. Every man and woman knows the difference between right and wrong – righteousness and unrighteousness. God has showed us all – even to those who have never read the Bible.
"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse," it tells us in verse 20.
America's serious problems today are, at their root, spiritual.
"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things," we're told in verse 21 through 23.
This makes me think about the way it is common for Americans today to worship nature instead of nature's God. And what's the result of that? We are literally remaking our entire world – our ideas about property, duty, values and morality to conform with protecting the planet from the phantom problem of overproduction of carbon dioxide that, we are told, will lead to global warming. The gravest "sin" we can commit today is leaving a carbon footprint.

But let's see where the Bible tells us this kind of foolhardy thinking leads.
"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet," we're told in verses 24 through 27.
Not being accountable to God and His laws leads an individual or a nation inevitably into sexual sin. Do we not see the evidence of this in our country today? Do we not see it every time we turn on the television? Do we not see it all around us – in our schools, in the books we read, on the Internet, in our movies? Have we not become a sex-obsessed culture – particularly one that justifies and rationalizes and apologizes even for abominations like homosexuality, widely considered immoral by believers and non-believers alike just 25 years ago?
And what follows that path?
Read on in verses 28 through 32: "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
Again, this sounds to me like the society in which we live today.
And I want you to take particular note of the last line: The sin is not only doing these things but in taking pleasure in those who do.
Far too many in the church are doing just that today – excusing, rationalizing the rampant sin so pervasive in our country.
It can't go on much longer.
Be warned, America. There's still time to repent – but I don't know how much time.

Is it required that the temple be located in Jerusalem? Or could it be another temple in a different location? Say, even, Salt Lake City (one that comes to mind immediately)? If so, that might make for a plausible scenario. Again, just thinking out loud.

Absolutely and only on Mount Zion. That is YHWH'S command. Mount Zion is His choice, His elected bit of earth to rule over the nation's from, and also, there is a connection to the heavenly Mont Zion from the middle of the earth, there.

There will be a temple built, which will be defiled when God pours out His wrath on earth and brings down all principalities and powers and re-sets the pillars of authority in the heavenlies [Psalm 75:2,3, in the Hebrew, with the Lexicon, state that the pillars will dissolve and He will re-set them, after the rapture =laqach- of His Congregation =Church, which is made of Jews and Gentiles] but that temple of the tribulation time will only be built after national Israel is delivered of her enemies domestic and foreign, who are thorns in her side for the 60 years of her new establishment.
I am not looking for an anti-Christ, for God's Word tells me to look for the return of Jesus Christ, who must remove the true Church[the remnant within what is called the Church] from the midst of the earth, so that the man of sin can be revealed.

Before Jesus comes, I expect to see Psalm 83 fulfilled completely, which will then allow Israel to be at peace, to prosper, and to dwell securely without walls.
YHWH may even nuke Mecca like He did Sodom and Gomorrah, and the Dome of the Rock, in my lifetime, as the rock in Mecca is the strength for the idolatry of the enemies of Israel, who will be destroyed and humbled, as Psalm 83 states, and the remnant of them will learn to fear YHWH and to seek His face.

the enemies of Israel are more violently vocal and arrogant against YHWH worldwide, and I do not expect their furor to be allowed to continue forever unchecked by YHWH.
At some point, He will come down as He did at Sodom, and check this arrogant lying spirit that has infected the world like cancer.

He still rules in the kingdom of men and He still chastizes His own that they may be corrected and saved, and He still judges the wicked and turns the wicked into hell, and every nation that forgets YHWH.

On our poor short timetable of the years of our lives we think while we are alive in our bodies that YHWH moves slowly, but on His timetable, His wheels of justice grind on, crushing all as dust before His face who stand to oppose His Name, Person, and work.
Whoever reads history knows that all tyrants come to an end, and all kingdoms against YHWH fall and crumble to dust.
Where are His enemies of old? dead and in hell.
When He removes the branches above, and not just the roots below, then the earth will have the millennial reign of Sabbath rest; till then, though the branches above remain until the time of His wrath poured out and removal of them totally, above and below [principalities and powers, rulers of wickdness in the heavenlies are the branches above; wicked men who rise and become children of perdition are the roots below], then there will be tyrants always rising and falling, and civilizations will continue to rise and fall, built on the dust of those that came before.

Sometimes the dust is used to build new civilizations on and is so finely ground beneath them that the the builders do not even recognize that they are not the first; and they believe that they are builders and pioneers on "virgin soils" so to speak. Such belief is absolute and utter ignorance of true history, though, for even the Western continents were once filled with thriving civilizations that were as advanced as anything today, and maybe more advanced than what is today.
The evidence is available today to prove that for oneself, having been gathered by many and catalogued in books and even on websites like http://www.s8int.com/ that have connected links to collections of ancient civilizations all over the world, on every continent, which men were unaware of until the past century, even.

Fact is that if it is not the time for the return and reign of Jesus Christ, and if the rulers of the USA continue to rebel against God's name and laws, then the USA will be dealt a death blow that may be so complete and so final that in the future, men will not even find the remnants of our own once great civilization.
That is the pattern of history from the beginning of the world, with great civilizations rising and falling, as they seek and follow God -whom all men and all natins once knew [Romans 1]and as they rebel against His power and name, and are destroyed from the face of the earth, with no trace and no remnant of their name left, and even the names of their kings are lost forever when God wipes the earth clean of them.

God has done it again and again, beginning before the flood and after, and at Babel, and then by the destruction of great lands which sunk into the seas and new land arose, after Babel, even, when men had atomic wars on this earth -proof is in ancient writings of the Mahabharata and Ramanyana, called "sacred" by the modern Hindus, but just tales of evil angels and evil men doing what they did before the flood and after], and those writings were not translated to English [and not all are, even] and not even understood by those who kept the writings, until the last century, when once again the Atom was split and men began to understand, once again as in the past, how to harness the forces of creation for evil.

Personal repentance personal calling on the name of the LORD for salvation is the only way one will have deliverance and Life, and peace, even in troubled times.If one is following Jesus Christ, then even if life is taken from them, they have LIFE, in His name, and no man can take that away.
Nothing can separate a born again in Christ believer from His love and grace and mercy.

Phl 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

And if we want to be in the presence of God, then we have to remember to let heaven hear our praises and the name of the LORD on our lips, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, for YHWH dwells in the praises of His people.

Psa 113:3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name [is] to be praised.

Psa 22:3 But thou [art] holy, [O thou] that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Exd 34:6,7 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].

GOD is in control and has already declared the end from the beginning! You cannot stop that which God has declared. It will come to pass. We cannot choose what is coming or it's timing. The only choice we make is WHICH SIDE WE'RE ON!

This is not a relevant answer to my argument at all. I argue that you use unbiblical interpretations of the prophecies and skip some very important guidelines set in the bible itself. I don't argue that the world willl experience exactly what God commands. The promises are clear about what the future has in store for the spread of the kingdom, gods glory o earth, nations desciples, enemies under his feet. I have no intention of stopping what God has declared! I believe a bad interpretation of revelation will delay it...

(and yes, we can delay or "hasten the coming of christ"....according to Peter. Its in our hands if we should belive his verses)

I got your point about the temple on Mount Zion (was that the same as the one in Jerusalem?). But if you are predicting a time and place that Israel lives in peace and security, then you must be thinking well into the future.
