I'm ok with this, but I was going to suggest to the mods to edit OP to delete the 2008 and just have an AI thread. I thought it would be cool to see how many posts for a single thread we could come up with. What do you think?

I dunno, I think it might be hard to keep up with a thread with seasons mixed together. I have a hard time keeping up with the thread and finding the info I want when it's just one season.

Mmmmmmm, can't wait! Last I heard, a friend of mine was trying out for the show. I never heard anything else, so I don't know if he went through with it, but he's definitely good enough to make it to Hollywood.

Mmmmmmm, can't wait! Last I heard, a friend of mine was trying out for the show. I never heard anything else, so I don't know if he went through with it, but he's definitely good enough to make it to Hollywood.
That would be really cool if someone you knew got on the show.
Simon Cowell has gone on record as saying that he is "100% positive" that a guy will win this season. I guess we'll see how accurate he is.

I personally know of a heavier set woman with a BEAUTIFUL voice who I met this year who went before the big three and sang. They all told her she was amazing, but that she was too fat to be accepted. Yet they'll accept fat black women...
Such foolishness. And of course they are suing another for pursuing his dreams.

That's just wrong. It doesn't really surprise me, though. They've rejected overweight women in the past, which just shows it's not a purely singing contest -- it's a contest to see what good singer can turn into idol worship for the typical American teenager.
I enjoy the show a lot. But these stories do leave a bad taste in my mouth.
