I used to collect coins when I was a kid. My grandpa always helped me out. I still have some of those books with dated slots for each year of different american coins. I also have some rare ones, and lots of coins from other countries!

My dad was in the Air Force stationed in Puerto Rico in the early 1960s. Out there they were still circulating anything they could get their hands on at the time, and it was then he started collecting (which "bug" he passed on to me). He had a lot of stuff circulating from the early 1900s and even a few plucked out of circulation dated in the late 1800s.

It's sort of a shame that such a cornucopia of coins can't be plucked out of circulation today. Heck, I can't even find any nickels or dimes dated 2009.....

I also love coins. Seems like there are endless of them!

Are you collecting all sorts of coins, or religious coins as well?
