Cody, brother,
I used to be a Protestant, I know all these arguments, and so does everyone else here I am sure.
Also please be aware that this is a non debate thread, as I said in my OP, also at OBOB there's a rule - like at all congregational forums - that others can ask questions but not argue our beliefs.
Mary is not an
intercessor. If you think that it is wrong to ask her for prayer, then logically you should never ask your friends to pray for you either.
Secondly - Mary WAS saved by Christ, but at her conception. Different timing, that's all
Thirdly - in the Bible, in that language, when they said 'brother' they also meant cousins.
I'm not sure what you are trying to do by your post. You are probably trying to convince us to leave behind all this Mary "idolatry" and maybe you are trying to help us "get saved". Thanks for your good intention brother but to be honest, - we know all these arguments already and they show a misunderstanding of Catholicism. Please research our doctrines before attacking them. Also, speaking for myself, and I'm sure for some others here as well - my conversion to Catholicism was a difficult journey but now that I'm nearing the end of it, there are certain things I'm SURE about because God showed me that they're true. And Mary is one of those.
Peace.
