How to receive your healing......

The source of our healing is singular. It is God, Himself, applied to you.

I have seen and experienced healings through the laying on of hands, by demonic expulsion, by understanding or revelation acted on (faith), and by divine intervention.....all of these are simply God Himself touching you, removing the root cause of your illness.

So is there more than one cause of illness? Could there really be only one source of illness, just as there is one source of healing manifesting in differing ways?

We know that God does not make us sick, but rather died to heal us....and He was even beaten so we could be well.

This thread is dedicated to helping the brethren walk in wellness, spirit, soul, and body. To help them understand why they are sick and how to become well in Him.

The Picture:

The first thing I feel needs to be established is the understanding of who we are and how we work.

Everyone is welcome to ask any questions and soon I will show you some self-healing techinques and ways to grow in Christ so you can receive your healing. I will also explain why a person doesn't receive healing and how to overcome those oppositions.

Let's take a look at ourselves....we know we are spirit, soul, and body. We are triune just like God is as we are made in HIs image. God is neither male nor female but he made us that way. Also, God is not human and flawed, but perfect and the bible says All Spirit.

We tend to think that flesh is real and spirit is the mystical unreal. Actually the opposite is true. Everything you see came from Spirit hovering over the waters.

Therefore Spirit is the source of life, not flesh the source of spirit.

Now, just as God's Spirit is the source of Life and all that is good and when He is applied to your body, you become well.....realise then, that the opposite is also true. Death/sickness generally comes through a spiritual source being applied to your body (more on the specifics later).

This is not said to condemn anyone, for I've yet to meet a perfect soul, including myself, but it is simply how the worlds work in unison and how death came to our world, even changing all of creation.

If we had perfect unity with God, then we would have no sickness, no wrong thoughts, no disobedience in us, and nothing that would contradict or be offensive in any way to God.

This is God's will for us. But let us look at what that entails...You would have to have a glorified body, perfectly cleansed soul, and His Spirit within you.

Our current state:

Spirit: When you are born again you are given a new spirit (Ezek. 36:26) and a new heart. That means that you are saved and united in Spirit with the Father. This is why you can speak in tongues and move from Him in you. It is why Jesus left and sent the Holy Spirit. This is your desires, will, driving force or motivational force. When you give your life to Jesus, that is what it means that He is now your motivational source.

Interestingly, if you know this, you can see a phony christian a mile away. Who is motivating them? If it isn't God, they aren't His. Those who are God's are led by His Spirit (Rom. 8:14) and they will seek to honor and glorify God the Father, not themselves. Your god is whomever you serve, even if you serve them in the name of God.

Soul: Your soul is the sum of all your experiences. Every tragic event in your life, every happy moment, etc. It is like the sum of who you are. What you believe, who you know, everything...it is your mind, thoughts, memories, hopes, dreams, beliefs....everything......

Body: Your physical self. Paul calls your body vile (Phil. 3:21) and says it will be changed into a glorified body. Our body is a huge pain. It is corrupt and is entered by demons that make it sick, it grows old, and it suffers and dies. Many are born with sick weak bodies. Our bodies are corrupt and corruption can indeed live within it.

Yes, Paul refers to our bodies as the temple of God, as He is in you, but it is not the body you will have when you live with Him and join Him in eternity. Your earthly body will be changed. It is not acceptable or able to function in heaven.

Rom. 8:20-23

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

This is an excellent description of the state of creation. It groans and is in pain even now......Also, it was made subject to vanity and that we were 'delivered' into bondage with the promise of one day being delivered with complete redemption of spirit, soul, and body.

This will happen when death is fully conquered and no one will ever be able to die again.

1 Cor. 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

This means we are still in bondage. Not in spirit, but in soul and body. Our minds/souls must be renewed and our bodies can be healed, but complete redemption is not here as of yet, but is to come.

The one who is to redeem us has come. But the process is not yet complete as we are not with Him in the sky (glorified bodies) and death has not been destroyed yet.

How Death Comes to Us:

Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Here we see clearly that payment for sinning is death....the reason why is that when you sin you draw away from Life/God.

Rom 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from this body of death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Do you see what Paul is saying?

Your fleshly body is serving the law of sin. Even though your sins are covered, your body is still in servitude. If you were to have the law of God written completely in your heart, your body would not be serving sin (wrong thinking). It would be in obedience to the Father, not following operating on incorrect data. (more on that later).....

How health comes to you:

Matt. 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Right there, is the secret to walking in complete health. Let me explain:
Sin caused the world to fall. It brought death to it and to us. Health will come to you by reversing this process. A person who is sinning is usually doing it ignorantly. They cannot see, hear, or understand what they are doing and I will give you some examples later to draw from and show you how we bring sickness to us, ignorantly.

We do so many things that we think is right and we justify them in our childishness and once these thoughts pass our lips from our heart, they set us out of alignment with God and align us with death instead, in our flesh.

Prov. 4:20-23

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Every act based on something other then God in you/Truth will bring death to your body. Why? In the spiritual realm you tune into death and actually call it to you. Like a radio frequency. Your spiritual body overlaps your physical body and every place it is sick, your body eventually gets sick as Life is not being brought into it.

Look at how to keep your flesh well:

Attend to My words........incline thine ear........don't let the truths He shows you depart from your eyes.....keep them in thine heart...why? You speak from your heart....and out of your heart comes the issues of life...and of death....

Prov. 18:20-21 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and wtih the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

You eat or live by what you speak and say from your heart. I'm not talking about the 'blab it and grab it' but something else and I will show you in a minute.

Death or life that is spoken from your heart, effects your spiritual body and will heal or kill your physical body in reflection of that spirit man.

So we know The basis of illness is sin. What sin is, is being out of alignment with God/Life. We are doing and believing something that simply isn't true and in that action we join those spirits who have opposed God, these are referred to as the spirit of error (1 John 4:6)

Is. 55:8, 9 says "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.

"But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. (John 15:26)
