I'm not even wanting to lose right now, just stop gaining!
I was recently injured, and it's got me knocked down hard. As in, making it through the day on 5x of pain meds and on bed rest. I'm having to take meds every 3-4 hours, and they have to be taken with food. Because of my living situation, I don't have many healthy food options. This is not good. Add in life stressors that always slow my loss/increase my gain, and it's really not a pretty picture.
I don't have any very good ideas what I could do about this- all I want is to be stable and stop gaining
Any ideas at all are very very welcome!

yeah me too. I do very well with diet/exercise. This summer I committed myself for about 6 weeks before this injury. 6 weeks got me 30lbs down
I just can't exercise right now *boohoo*

I am sorry to hear you can't exercise, maybe you could count calories and talk to a dietician about how many calories you need to maintain your weight, it might be about 1200 or 1500 calories, for me it is about 2500 calories, but I watch what I eat under the weight watchers program. Well you hang in there ad have a speedy recovery.
Try eating a peice of High Fiber bread or a small plain baked potato. Bread that has 3 grams of fiber or more per slice could be what you could eat with your meds at least 2x during the day. You could toast it or just eat it plain. When I had meds in the past I had to take with food, bread or a small potato seemed to work just fine for me. One small potato without butter or other creamy things, maybe with just some salt and pepper, cooked in the microwave, isn't as bad for you as some think.
Just a suggestion!
Also if you're big into juice, try switching to the actual fruit instead of just juice. You get the fiber instead of just the sugar.
Blessings!
Margaret
