I've had opposing views to the 'Harry Potter' series, as any books series I feel is Satanic. I looked at the picture of Mr. Radcliffe on the magazine cover. More than any other aspect of his face, I noticed his eyes.
They reminded me of a time I was travelling. As I sat on the plane, a woman passed me holding her 2-3 year old toddler. For an instant, it seemed as if time froze. I looked into the babies eyes; they were the perfect balance of 50% green and 50% grey. It wasn't so much the color of his eyes, but what I saw in them. It was as though that baby held the knowledge of so a many years passed in his eyes; grown up and adult. They were beautiful eyes, but held too much knowledge for one so young.
That was over 10 years ago.
I had a brief flashback of that same sensation when I looked in Mr. Radcliffe's eyes. His entire soul was laid bare and I made up my mind to pray for him as much as I had criticised his work. Any true Christian would if they had seen in his eyes what I saw.
God didn't intend for us to be as the Priest and Pharisee who 'passed the wounded man by'. Even more so, we should be vigilant for those who are wounded on the inside, where the day to day existence can marr the view of personality to veiled.
Would God have me to do anything less?
