The Peaceful Place coffee shop... come on in!

Yeah I thought I'd pop in and have a look. I've been spending alot of time on Facebook on a silly little addictive game that they have and then my time is up. It is amazing how much time can be wasted on the computer doing nothing really useful...hmmm. I was coming in to see if anything new was happening.

I'm going great guns with my anxiety and really feel like I've turned a corner. This is said in spite of having some other health issues crop up which in essense would be a sociophobs worst nightmare! I have started to develop a tremor with my head which is disconcerting and makes me self concious at times as it can just hit out of the blue. Can't say anything else as I haven't seen a neurologist yet; I have an appointment scheduled for early July. I am so grateful that I've had the CBT and am feeling stronger emotionally as I doubt if this had it me a year ago that I would have coped so well.

Oh no, I hope everything turns out OK. I can't remember if you take anything medications, but if you do the tremor could be a side effect.

I hope April is OK... haven't heard from her in a long time

I have never taken medications so it isn't because of that, they have come totally out of the blue. I know about the side effects of some drugs, as my mum had quite severe ones from taking anti psychotics for her schizophrenia while I was growing up. I guess I just gotta wait and see what the specialist says. It's not just my head but I am also a bit shaky in the hands as well. I'm a bit concerned but not as much as I first was when the symptoms started to get a bit worse. God is in control and I trust Him completely.

I'm here, I'm here!!

Sorry I haven't been around in forever, I keep forgetting to come here and see how you all are doing. Sorry about that. You do mean a lot to me, it's just that I've been distracted lately. We just got a kitten, yesterday, and he's kept me busy for the past 24 hours, haha, so cute. He's in my profile pic. His name is Daniel and he's 4 months old.

Anxiety has been tolerable lately. Mornings haven't been the best, but I have been taking meds whenever I need to, and they've helped. Moods have been alright, although I feel like I'm going down again... fun times. I haven't really been that "up" lately, except for yesterday when I felt all jittery about getting Daniel. I was afraid that that would turn into hypomania, but I don't think that it did. Whew!!

Kathy, sorry to hear about the tremors. Let us know how the tests go when you get to a neurologist. I don't blame you for being shy about them, although you don't need to be. But I do understand.

Mel, how are you doing?? how is Kirk? and how is everyone else, if there is an everyone else?

Yay, I'm glad to hear from you, April. Daniel is adorable! You must take lots and lots of pics and share them on here or facebook! Must!!! Where did you get him from?

Kathy, I will keep you in my prayers. Keep us updated. Kirk and his mother have something called "essential tremors" .... both of them of hand tremors that go on constantly. Kirk's isn't very noticeable most of the time. He has had it since childhood.

Speaking of which, Kirk is doing pretty good, April. He and his parents are coming here in a few weeks to meet my family and extended family. I am going to go dress shopping with his Mom and my Mom.

Mel, good to hear from you. When's Kirk and his family coming? pretty soon, I bet, since it's been over 10 days since I checked this thread. I bet you're pretty excited about the wedding!! It's not all that far away, as time goes anyway.

We got Daniel at the local SPCA. He's adorable, yes, but can be such a troublemaker!! Right now he's discovered the buttons on the back of the couch and was clawing at them until I squirted him with the spray bottle that we keep handy. He thinks it's a game scratch claw and then squirt then run away then dash back then scratch claw then squirt........ ahhhhhh!!!! Can be so aggravating, haha. I will be taking more photos though, although not too many since he's rarely sitting still and it's really frustrating trying to get good action shots.

I've not been doing too well with eating lately... but that's a whole 'nother story. Sendings s to you all!!

They are going to be here next Friday.

Haha, I'll bet he is so much fun. I've never had a cat but I've pet sitted for kittens, fostered them, and worked with them at my old job so I know they are very fiesty and entertaining. Can't wait to see any more pics!

Mel, how're you doing? really excited about seeing Kirk again? How long has it been since you've seen him and his family?

I'm worried about today's NP appt. It's not going to be too fun because I didn't start a med that she wanted me to start, and I didn't let her know that I decided not to start it after all when I decided that... so she's going to be frustrated with me. I hate that. I really hope that it's not going to be as bad as I think it will be... prayers would be appreciated if anyone reads this this morning.
