More and more we are seeing how the enemy is desperately trying to defeat the Christian faith, because he knows his time is short, and is on the quest to cause as many people who believe in God to stumble in their faith hopes that he might take them with him to the lake of fire!
How should we respond to this?
What should we do when we are insulted, or physically abused for our faith?
I just posted a short article on my blog to address this issue. You can read it by clicking on the following link: Worldwide Persecution of Christians

I just had to confirm my own experiences are reflecting the above. I'm seeing it all around me with alot of folks I know. Its like there's not a person i talk to in my church who isn't going through something major. I see the enemy at work trying so hard to cause Christians to stumble or walk away from their faith. I see that God is allowing these trials as he's trying to prepare us all so that when things get really bad or touch us close to our heart, that we are strong enough to handle it.
Thanks for sharing your blog article.

one thing worth stopping to question and consider, though.
when you feel someone bes "persecuting" you ... bes they REALLY "persecuting" you FOR CHRIST'S SAKE? or bes they "persecuting" you simply because you have behaved yourself like an obnoxious jerk (and may not realize you have done so, btw) and they bes reacting to that the way humans normally will?
running and hiding in the automatic assumption that someone disliking or mistreating you does so because you bes Cosmically and Spiritually Right About Everything In Jesus' Name can become a great method of self-deception. you never have to face responsibility for how you come off to others if you automatically assume it to always be about you being SUCH a True Christian (TM) instead.

They want you to lose your faith and become like them, but the only person who can lose you your faith is yourself, aslong as you never give it up, no matter what, they can never defeat you!
When persecuted pity those whom mock your faith.
For when the time comes they will receive Nothing for the life they chose to live accept Eternal Torture.
Pray for them show them nothing but love.
Allow God to deal with them as he chooses.

They only want to talk about earthly things such as money/sport, the mortgage etc.. it does'nt mean they are bad people, just that they are intolerant,self-righteous and fools to themselves for dismissing any faith. They are embarrassed to talk of things exalted from them and prefer to consume their thoughts with short term committments/worries instead of their spiritual well being. The mere thought of someone far more powerful seeing their thoughts and the ways they act terrifies them enough to put God right at the back of their minds where he remains a distant memory while they can concentrate on being selfish and manipulating for their "survival" which they call "life". They can be pleasent enough to engage in small talk but anything beyond this will raise feelings of anger and insecurity. They have not been chosen to have an opinion which really counts and it is best to leave them alone if you can help it. You cannot change their views because God has decided it is not their time. Only he can decide if and when they may see the light that is why the words have been sealed until the end.

Be lawful, cause no trouble intentionally but speak the truth, do not prepare beforehand what you are going to say, trust in God for food and shelter, and always turn the other cheek through the mighty Spirit of God who gives the saints and martyrs all strength through every manner of trial and tribulation.
I highly doubt that anyone posting in this forum, CERTAINLY those posting in English, have ever been subject to anything remotely resembling actual Christian persecution.
