Thank you so much..God Bless you all..
I think you're looking for the word "exegesis." Exegesis is getting your interpretation from the text. Eisegesis is getting the text to say what you want it to say.
Jesus is represented in the four gospels, first and foremost, with fidelity. I understand that the texts have been written to teach a certain message, and compile teachings and miracles of Jesus that go after a certain angle, but we must understand that in the gospels, Jesus still is who he is.
Thank you for the answer sir :-),umm...is jesus represented in the 4 gospel like a teacher..savior with the evidences? I mean verses or parables? please help me sir..I don't have enough answer I want some help..cause I want to have a better understanding with this
Since early church history comparisons have been drawn between Jesus in the four gospels and the four beasts shown around the throne of God in Ezekiel (I think Ezekiel. One of the Major prophets). In Matthew he is the man, the king. In Mark, he is the bull, the suffering servant. In Luke, the Lion, the Lion of Judah. In John, the Eagle, God incarnate.
Not that those images are claimed by the individual Gospels. None of the Gospels have any verses that outright say "Jesus is like a..." and then set out to portray Him that way throughout.
Sit down and read them and see he is who he is. The Word of God, the Lamb of God, the Son of God, the Good Shepherd, the Master Physician, the one who teaches with Authority. He is who He is.
This really isn't the right forum for this thread. A Mod should probably move it somewhere.

Hello. I'm a new member so please excuse me if anything isn't in place. I'm not really sure about whether this is the right place for this post, but I thought that since we're on the topic of Jesus is... it might be right to put this here.
I've been faced by some questions that really irritated me from non-Christians, specially this: "Jesus lived among us for over 30 years. Where did Jesus claim divinity in the bible?". This one made me go through the gospels over and over again, and honestly I was puzzled. I'm sure I'm missing it -though I don't know where- so can anyone help me out here? The only thing I came through was Jesus's addressing to Paul in Revelations -which is a dream of Paul, but couldn't put my finger on this claim as a direct quote from Jesus anywhere in the bible during his flesh days.
