People like Lyle (and Hovind) don't believe so much in the inerrancy of the bible as much as they believe in the inerrancy of their interpretations. This sort of elitist mindset is counterproductive to spreading their faith and they dont even know it.
I would prefer to give lyle the benefit of the doubt. he is only 17, and seems to have been sadly misinformed when it comes to sceince. his lack of knowledge is more of a reflection of the poor state of the education system rather than dogmatic wilful ignorance.

I think it may be the fact that there are so many MAJOR errors with the History, Theology, Science, and the fact the portions of it are missing... Even whole chapter have been eaten by dogs....

not to convert anyone to anything or to say that christianity is not christianity, but check church history about gospels (which may have been more directly influenced by Jesus than others) being voted out of being included in the bible and then burned....
talk about chapters missing...
