This has absolutely nothing to do with the President-Elect's personal relationship with God. I completely agree with him here, when he is simply saying that America is not, and cannot be, a theocracy with its policies being guided by fallible interpretations of sacred scripture. He is not bashing Christianity, he is saying that our system of government is not compatible with literalist interpretations of Christian scripture. And he's absolutely correct. The man is a politician, not a bishop. All we've ever had in American government are politicians. We seperate Church and State, and we have to.
