prisoner put drug packet in my pocket.

First of all I have to note, that I do jail ministry so that may help out on my dream.

This morning I had a puzzling dream. I was at this place and was walking around and walk past this room were a prisoner was. he was in handcuffs. and I went in and talk with him. he kept acting all frienly and smiling. I had the impression that he was trying to act like Jesus. he ask me my name.

I was alittle skeptic the whole time. and remeber standing real close to him. we talk and he said that he thought I looked pretty fimular. then I left. but kept having this sense that something was wrong.

so I walk around alittle. and I felt a prompting to reach in my jacket pocket. and as I did. I pulled out a small package. about the size of a small package of asprin. and I knew it was drugs. and I got real nervious. and didn't know what to do. I thought about going back in and giving it to him. but that was a no! no! cuz they would have thought I was giving him drugs. I couldn't tell on him. cuz I couldn't prove he was the one who put it their. my question is...why would he want to do that to me? what could I have done in that situation? I woke up this morning and prayed about this. I told God to give me wisdom and discerement, so I won't be decieved. any thought's.

A prison ministry is a risky one, not only in terms of physical danger, but also spiritual. Like mental institutions, prisons have a strong demonic presence associated with the place and inmates. These spirits, both within and around convicts can attached themselves to you or cause problems. I’m sure many of us have experienced things in our work place, like an office for example, in which the devil has cause people and fellow workers to turn or act against you without provocation. This is spiritual warfare, and it can happen anywhere, especially in a prison.

I hope you are taking extra precaution to cover yourself with blood of Jesus and your spiritual armor, and pray for guidance and protection every time you go in there.

As a former jailer, I'd say this is a very valuable dream.
There are many inmates who will try to get staff and "straights" in trouble. Maybe so they can get brownie points for snitching you, maybe just because they don't like you. Beware "friendly" inmates, until you have known them for a very, very long time.

For all of that, and Bobinator's comment, jail work in any capacity can be highly rewarding; and many of these guys are way ahead of us. They know all about "The good I would do, I do not do; and the evil I would not do, I do."

Stick with it. When the time finally comes to move on, I hope you look back on your service as happily as I do.

Hi I guess its fate that I happend on this post this is my first time here and prob. last . This dream may be you that your sub consious is picking up on a scam/inmate setup that you are not fully aware of or are in denial of. Remember there are some in jail that go to church to try and be saved but there are alot who go to make contacts, just get out of mod, pass contraband ect. YOU ARE DEALING WITH CRIMINALS. No matter how innocent a situation may be they may be trying to get leverage over you ... but if this is the case as soon as you suspect somthing not right REPORT IT. No matter how small and trivial you think it is. Even the smallest violation in protocols they can and will use it as leverage against you to get you to do other things till you hit the point of no return and now they got you brining stuff in for them. I think your dream is telling you to be ALERT.... and if anything happens that you are unsure about talk to an officer or Sgt. about it.

But in your dream, if that happens take the said item directly to security and tell them what happend.

Thanks for your advice. You know...a funny thing happen not to long after this dream. I was at work(I'm a custodian at the courthouse.) well anyway we have big court the first thursday of every month. and they bring the prisioner in from another county. anyhow. I was outside sweeping. and notice this lady looking behind the door were the prisioner come in at. she got my attention. and told me that she was going to leave something behind the door for her boyfriend.(it was cigaretts or something.

I told her she could not do that and she just went on and on. telling me tp pretend that I knew nothing. I kept telling her no over and over no. finally I end up telling it to the sheriff, cuz we had found more. I'm thinking...I just can't just sit back and watch this take place knowing it's wrong.(aiding and betting I think that's what it's called.) but she got me involved, and I just could not get around it.

I don't know if this dream has anything at all to do with the dream. but I thought it was kinda werid.I'm just wondering what would of happen if I did not mention this.

I hope you were able to tell the sheriff while the woman was still there. Different states have different laws, but where I worked this would be Conspiracy to Smuggle Contraband Into a Penal Institution. We always arrested in these cases, let them get a taste of the jail they were trying to smuggle things into.
In a memorable case, weekend visitors were actually able to get two or three hacksaw blades into the jail. Our visitation booths were divided. Inmates were behind a locked door, visitors in a booth on the other side. Visiting was by telephone, with thick glass between to prevent physical contact.
The smugglers left the blades on the ledge formed by the upper part of the window frame. Inmate meal servers were able to get and hide them, then pass them into a 12-man tank by holding them under serving trays, out of the supervising officer's sight. Seven inmates used them to cut through bars and escape through a poorly locked outside window. They tied several bedsheets together and lowered themselves from the second floor.
