Reps: 12,953,653,705,616 (power: 0) | | i have a 22 cal rifle that has been passed down through the family from my great grandfather. and everyone in that line is avidly christian. i would say yes, we can have guns. they are not considered a dangerous item until used in a dangerous way. it is pretty simple to NOT shoot somebody. if you are killing with the weapon, then i would say that you should not have it, if you have it for the sake of the item itself, then it is perfectly OK. |

I say all of this to say, the best, or closest thing the government will be able to do is add more restrictions to the already strenuous laws.. If they choose to do this then I'll have to file more paper work, and go through more background checks, and pay more "fees" To do what i like doing in my spare time..
If they do actually pass a Bill that disarms America then I guess I'll buy dummy receivers (the Gun frame which everything is attached to) and continue to display and collect.. (this is what people do when they have an Automatic weapons that they are not supposed to have.. 90% of the Gun is real and ready to fire, but the piece that everything is bolted to won't allow bullets to be chambered.) So the gun is inert. But in a since still very real, and in my case so is the history.
---Ted Nugent fires his automatic weapons here in Michigan. I saw him do it on his show. Him and his family and a family friend of his kids were just firing a bunch of rounds out back of his place. Safely of course.
-- My step-dad just bought a Judge 2.5 for my mother.
-- I personally like .22s. My uncle Lee has an Ithaca lever-action .22 long rifle that I have used since I was able to hold it. We have an old Japanese .22 that is nice [and heavy] but it is missing the bolt.
-- My uncle Lee has a .308 that is great for shooting woodchucks at 400 yards.
-- I like Browning's line of .22s. The one with the octagonal barrel really caught my interest.

--- Paying more....lots more. My buddy used to pay $2 to $3 for 25 rounds of 7.62x39 for his SKS. Now it's 8 bucks.
-- It's $50 for 45 rounds of .45 Colt for the "Judge" That's 90-93 cents per shot.
