One thing, it mentions vatican II. Now i was baptised in 1958 and this seems to have happened during my time.
Can anyone explain it to me?
When I went last summer to a church and did confession (it was totally different from when I was younger) and received communion, the priest told me things had changed a lot. How?
Quick and dirty rundown of some of the changes implemented by the Second Vatican council:
Mass is said in the vernacular
The form of the mass was reworked (not just a translation of the old Latin mass)
Communion could be received in hand
Abstention of meat on Fridays not necessary all year long
And a bunch of theological stuff that would require many hours of reading to process.
The changes were implemented in 64, I think, so you would've been very young to remember the pre-Vatican II stuff.
