"Sure!" Melinda answered for both of them. Around kids, she had no trouble speaking. The siblings followed Lucy into the castle, marvelling at the white marble walls hung with intricate tapestries. Many of the tapestries depicted strange creatures, some of which appeared to be half-human and half-horse, or half-human and half-goat, or animals with wings where they didn't belong. It wasn't until they'd walked in silence for several minutes that Josh was able to ask the questions Lucy had raised:

"I've never heard of any place called Narnia. Where is it? Sounds like it might be in Europe."

"But if it's in Europe, how come you aren't all hiding from the Nazis?" Melinda added.

Peter was woken up by a shout,"We are under attack!" Peter jumped up and ran out of the tent. The shout had come from Sir.Thiadon, one of his knights. He was fighting a dark skinned man, Calormens. He pulled Susan's horn out of his bag and sounded the alarm. There were too many of them.

The Nazis? That rung a bell but she couldn't put her finger on it. "The Nazis? Europe?" she replied. All of a sudden they heard a horn, Susan's horn! Lucy turned back to Melinda and Josh,"Stay here!" And she ran off.

"Yeah, Nazis!" Josh said. "Those evil guys...led by Hitler...they're trying to take over the world...you've never heard of Hitler?"

Suddenly, something that sounded like a trumpet split the peaceful evening. "Stay here!" Lucy said, running off. Josh and Melinda exchanged glances, shrugged, then sat down to wait.

Lucy ran through the corridors, and down the steps. she grabbed her vial, which contained the juice of the fire flower and could cure any injury, and jumped on her horse. And rode off to help Peter.

Peter was exhausted, he glanced over at Edmund. He was hurt but not badly. he looked for Sir.Thiadon, he was severely wounded, and would not survive long. One of his other knights were dead. They had just defeated the large group that had attacked them. Whoever was gathering at Aslan's How was not freindly.

Rose tried to get a good look at the officers. She peeked up over the bushes she was in, they were dark skinned, but that's all she could tell about them. They looked kind of mean to her. By now she had seen a lot of strange creatures, so she knew she must be in a magical land. These must be the bad guys she thought.

Lucy had been riding for hours. Finally she saw a campfire. She rode even faster hoping her brother was alright.
