jim kaseman bringing the church in line in regrds to emma
galations 1:8(barclay trnsl.) but even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel to you which is at variance with the gospel we have already preached to you, let god's curse be on him.
colossians 2:18(blackwelder trnsl.) let no one defraud you of your prize, even if he seeks to do so by an air of humility & by advocating the mediation of angels, acting as if he has special insight into unseen things. such a man is puffed up by futile speculations of his unregenerate nature, he is not maintaining union with the head(which is christ)....
now then, before one bends down to pick up stones, or before the "religious" mindset takes a false sense of offense, these scriptures did not originate from me, nor as brother copeland is known to say, why are you mad with me, god said it, not me.
but hold on, allow these words, penned from the holy spirit, begin to settle down in you, allow time for the holy spirit to once agian breathe on his creation, & to give light & life to you by the holy word, allow the "revelation" of god's word to take hold, & as jesus said to peter, flesh & blood has not revealed this to you, but my father from heaven.(matt. 16: 15-18)
much has been said here in regards to a certain ministry here due to incredulous statements released in regards to angelic visions, & teachings in refereance to these visions.
the a.f.c.m , founded by brother jim kaseman, who is a graduate of the charter class of rhema, & who has translated over a million plus of brother hagin's books in other languages, with most of this being done in the russian language, has just finished the thirty year anniversy meeting that was conducted in minneapolis mn. from june 23-26.
speakers were of course, bro. jim kaseman, rev. tony cooke, rev. jim newton, head of afcm in australia, & pastor jim gilligan, from ocala, florida.
a fellow minister friend of mine, associated with afcm, talked with me today by phone in regards to the meeting, which he attended.
one of the subjects discussed was titled "winds of doctrine".
to which bro. kaseman addressed to the issue in regards to the "vision & teachings" of the so called angel emma, to which bro. kaseman stated that "indeed it is demonic".
pastor gilligan, from florida reminded them of a statement that brother hagin once made in regards to a similar teaching going around, & stated we've smelled this type of thing before, & this has the same smell.
there you have it, strong credible ministries are making the correction needed here , taking a stand against error & if one would allow a strong word..... heresy.
error of this nature indeed has its origins from the same angel that appeared to joseph smith, the founder of the mormon church, & the attempt is to pull the weak & gullible from christ.
as brother hagin was known to say, bless their darling hearts & stupid heads, they may be sincere, but they are sincerly wrong.
and before one says, but, but , but , aren't healings being done there, another pastor friend of mine said once, since satan can put sickness on a person, it would be no big deal to take it off the person , if it would keep a false doctrine going.
brother balance, if you read this post, i know that you are spiritually sharp enough in the word & the things of the spirit to agree with this, so to any responses by folk who might fall into this error, i would like to read your input also.
I don't know jim kaseman and could care less what his opinion is about Emma.
Amen, God is using Todd Bentley whether his theology is perfect or not, God sees his heart first and foremost.

I've never heard of that man. And his is only one opinion. I prefer to be Berean and check things out for myself. So here's my opinion, which shouldn't really matter too much since folks should be berean too.
Todd Bentley said the other evening "I am not being guided by a female angel. I am being directed by Jesus Christ."
I attended Lakeland meetings as did my husband. As did Riverpastor's wife. We went there in person to discern for ourselves.
Todd Bentley preached Jesus Christ is our savior and the only way to God.
He preached we must repent of our sins and accept Jesus in order to be saved.
He preached we are to take the love of Jesus out of the 'building' and get it to the streets. Pray for the hotel clerks, wash cars, mow lawns, pray for waitresses. Serve the city with the Love of Jesus.
He preached that the Lord loves to heal the sick.
He preached that demons are to be cast out.
He preached that sometimes people get into unrepented sin and need to repent from that in order to close open doors to satan.
He preached that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
Todd Bentley has uprooted his family to move hundreds of miles away to stand in front of thousands and thousands for almost one hundred nights in a row and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation.
I chose to be Berean and investigate it for myself. And I, along with my husband and Riverpastor's wife, discerned, also using the word of God, the presence of the Lord and the word of the Lord being taught. We looked for fruit and we found it. We inspected the fruit and it was good. We investigated the words of those who know Todd personally. They testified of his mature walk and their respect for his integrity. So that's my opinion, for what it's worth. Be berean. Test his teaching against the word. Not what someone claims he said back when, or what someone thinks he believes. Turn on God tv or freshfire on the computer and test the word for yourself.
Matthew 7: 15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand.. Psalm 139:17-18

There is a teaching entilted "Angelic Hosts", in which Todd Bentley relayed an experience invovling Emma. There's a link to it in the newly created "Debate" subforum if you want to read it.
I've read it a few times, and I still don't know what Emma "teaches".
Personally, I think this may be a classic case of making a mountain out of a molehill.

Whenever someone is in the public eye in any arena, there will be those attacking them, trying to take thm down, whether through jealousy or some other motive.
It happens in sports, politics, entertainment and, sadly, even religion. If you are going to be someone in the public eye, you learn to develop a thick skin pretty quickly.
I've heard of Jim Kaseman, but never heard him personally. I attended a church for a time whose pastor was connected to Jim Kaseman's ministries. The Word was preached under the anointing of the Holy Spirit there. It was a very sound church, hence I have a certain amount of respect for Jim Kaseman.
However, having been to the Lakeland meetings myself on two occasions and having watched it several times, I still have yet to hear anyone mention "Emma", or any other angel's name, or focus on angels either. The focus has always been the Lord, and worshiping Him.
I'd like to find that link. I visited the debate thread and the block on my computer won't allow the videos Elijah posted to be seen, however I watch the Lakeland meeting with no problem. Apparently the link is not directly to the meeting. So what is it then? A link to what someone else said about him, a link to someone putting words in his mouth?
Has Jim Kaseman made a public statement against Todd Bentley?

Second, practice your religion without adulterating it or toning it down. Third, emphasize love and make it your working force, for love is central in Christianity. Fourth, study the non-Christian religions more sympathetically to find the good that is within them in order to have a more sympathetic approach to the people.”
