"He's busted the door down." Revenwyn whispered in the study. "Unless we want all the doors to all the rooms busted, we'd better come out. But, we WILL have a serious talk with him."
Revenwyn unlocked the door.
She found Gildrod and said, "I could have you charged for this."

"And I could have led the guards in here and let you be captured and me escape on Steel, but I didn't now did I? How could you think I would be an enemy. They weren't expecting elves to be in the city, so they wanted to ask questions I didn't want to be asked." Gildrod took out some bandages from his pack and bandaged his hand, whincing everytime it touched his hand. Gildrod went over and picked up the door and set it back up in his place. Using a sturdy hammer and steel nails he brought in his pack, he fixed the door good as new. He also put an iron bolt lock on the door as well. "Those are better than a simple lock, I wouldn't have gotten in here if that were on there." Gildrod pulled a chair from the table and sat down in it. "So, you want a serious talk with me, yes, I heard you in the study."

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever belives in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
As soon as Shadow had heard the door get knocked down, he had used his ability to shadow walk to meld into the shadows in the house. Now he stepped out directly next to Gildrod and said, "Yes, we will have a serious talk. But first of all, the guards would have had no reason to capture us. We are not renegades or fugitives."
Gildrod wasn't surprised to see Shadow appear out of the shadows. Gildrod said nothing to either of them, waiting for them to say something to him yet again.

Shadow said, "Now, I do not believe that the guards simply wanted to ask you a few questions just because you are an elf. This is a peaceful city and the guards do not harass innocent people like that, even if they are different. You ask why I treat you like an enemy? First, you eavesdrop on our conversation in a very loud tavern where you would need to try to listen to hear what we were saying. Then, you break down my door!" His voice rose, but not to shouting. His fingers were curled into near-fists, the fury obvious in his shaking hands. "And after that, you blame our lock for the fact that you have broken into our house! I should go out there right now and bring those guards in here!"
"I never blamed the lock on me getting into here, I only said that I wouldn't have been able to get into here if that was the lock, a mere statment is what it is. Also, it is not every day you see a couple waiting for so long for a Rider, and Riders aren't a usual part of the city either, I was interested nothing more, no scheme, no plot, nothing I have in my head is against any of you." Gildrod had regretted ever killed Valithious, he should have just taken it and knocked Valithious out. Gildrod sighed and looked away, "You are right, you have no reason to trust me, I can tell you thought, I had no evil intentions, but if you think I am an enemy, that is alright." Gildrod turned around and opened the door and took a step out, turned around, and closed the door. Gildrod walked over to the stable to get Steel, mount, and ride off.

After Gildrod rode off, Revenwyn turned to Shadow. "Well, I guess that's it for him. Let him get in trouble with the guards if he wishes. But if he spies on us, Shadow, I'm sure you know what to do." She bolted the iron bolt that Gildrod was so nice to replace the lock on her door with, and then she walked back to the study.

Gildrod rode speedily towards the gate to exit the city of Minas Tirth. And mysteriously, the few guards that guarded the gate were gone. 'Strange...but no interest of mine,' thought Gildrod. He continued to ride Steel on the dirt road until he came to a large forest. It was dark inside the forest, a good place for an enemy to lurk, but Gildrod just stared into the forest. He jumped off of Steel and unshealthed his sword, using it, to make a perfectly made RivenDell sign in the tree. He walked back to Steel, jumped back on, shealthed his sword, and rode on the outskirts of the forest.

Alric watched the scene in silence. His axe had moved to his hand as soon as the door came crashing down, but it rested at his side. He waited until the elf had gone before addressing the others, “You shouldn’t have sent him off like that. We need all the help we can get right now.”

Shadow stood silent for a few moments after Gildrod left. He nodded to Revenwyn and turned aside. With a glance at Alric, he said, "Perhaps I was a bit harsh. It was not, however my intention to deprive us of a capable hand. If he wished to make amends and prove his worth, I will see then."
