please pray for my mother. I spent the weekend with my parents and she is extremely stressed out. I'm worried about her. My older brother and his wife are coming to stay at their house in Sept. and they are extrememly materialistic and critical of her. I think she feels ashamed and embaressed. She is a pack rat , but now she is feeling the pressure to make her house spotless and even now it's really stressing her out. She was on the verge of tears the whole time. The family dynamic with my brother's family stinks and i sort of wish they weren't coming to give my mom a little peace. My mom is older and i'm very worried she might have a stroke or something over this. I wish i could explain this in a way that was less weird but i can't. My family just needs prayer specifically my mom.

Please pray for Mark Proctor. He is the 35 yr old cousin of someone that I know through work. He was involved in a motorcycle accident and the person I know was receiving sketchy details about his condition. She said that the information being passed along through her family was that he was going to require facial reconstruction and some other surgeries.
I received an update today that he had the facial reconstruction surgery and has a pin in his leg and a few other things going on. They're still concerned about closed head trauma (bad stuff), but he is currently in a drug-induced coma with some periods of responsiveness. Continued prayers are appreciated.

A young man I know named Ben has has melanoma for between EDIT: 4 and five YEARS now. He has had cancer in many different spots with all kinds of surgeries and he's been undergoing all kinds of different treatments. On Monday he found out that some of his tumors are growing. The largest one, fortunately, in not growing, but it is refusing to shrink. They also found two spots on his brain which were treated on Thursday, and the doctors that oversaw that said it went well. We (the people on my end in the campus ministry and whatnot) are very concerned for Ben. He says that he needs to find a treatment that will work. Besides needing prayer for healing, he needs prayer for strength and encouragement. He is a person that many people in our campus ministry look up to. I am also requesting prayer for encouragement for those who have been praying for him and checking his updates faithfully. Ben hopes to take a vacation with his family in about a week or so, and he needs strength for that to happen. It has been such a long journey.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I hope that I can do the same for you.

i debated posting this here, but i really need some prayer on this issue b/c i'm scared.
My right foot was swelling off and on for about a month and i thought it was connected to my tooth infection, but it has turned out that it is not. I went to two different doctors- a general doctor and a foot and ankle specialist and they do not know what is wrong. They have several possibilities and will do an ultra sound on my foot next week. This is extremely scary to me and i feel very alone. I am not allowed to exercise so i'm very stressed and feel no way to release this. Please pray that it is not the very serious possibility but one of the lesser ones. thanks
