...as my mind is an utter chessboard of liberal and conservative religious ideas, and I'm struggling awfully to find a right path. Mistrust my own feelings, really;and I'm have a tough time staying "loyal" to the good ol' Mother Church.
Specifically, I don't understand, and am finding it increasingly hard to accept the repressive stance on bith control and on same-sex relationships (I'm straight, but that doesn't make me not care), nor am I particularily happy with the "immer rechts" claims of the Catholic Church.
At the same time; it's what I am. I can't throw it overboard on pure feelings. I know myself enough to know that I'm always gonna find something to "kvetch" about, no matter what church.
So it's all being stuck in ecclesiastic flypaper, and well, I gotta believe God guides us, right?
So my request is for prayers for personal guidance; sure, there's plenty more important stuff in the world you could be praying about. I know that.
But if you've already read this, you could say a line. And if you've got a tip or two to throw in, go ahead.

I will say prayers Stephenc- for hope, reconciliation and your wish for self examination. There is much pain to bear but we must offer it up...not holding on to bitterness.
