Announcement:
Recently there has been a lot of debate in this forum on the subject of the Trinity.
We would like to bring to your attention the following section of the site rules:
Rules
You will not promote any faith, belief, or religion other than Christianity. For the purpose of these rules, Christianity is defined by Christian Forums' Statement of Faith.
Statement of faith:
We worship one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Isaiah 44:6-8; Exodus 3:15). God is three divine persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who share one essence--the Trinity (John 6:27; John 1:1, 14; Romans 8:9; Hebrews 1:2-3).
Our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ, the incarnate second person of the Holy Trinity, fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14), by the Power of the Holy Spirit was born of a Virgin (Luke 1:35) and existed before all time begotten of God the Father (John 1:2; John 1:18). He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) and is seated at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19). Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah (John 1:49; Matthew 16:16). His coming was foretold by the prophets of the Old Testament (Acts 3:18-23). He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead (Acts 10:42) and His Kingdom will have no end (2 Peter 1:11).
The FSGs for this forum include the 28 FBs, which include the following:
2. Trinity:
There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Tim. 1:17; Rev. 14:7.)
In the light of these rules, we would like to remind you all that debating the doctrine of the trinity is prohibited, and will be dealt with by moderators accordingly.
If you wish to discuss this area of doctrine, there is a sub-forum specifically for such discussions here: Trinitarian Theology.
Thank you for your co-operation,
God bless you

This rule comes at a time when there have been a few posts that question the trinitarian beliefs of some SDA members.
Essentially, the rule seems to be designed to keep any further posts from debating this issue. By CF's definition, SDA is trinitarian.
What this new rule means is that a poster should be careful not to cross the line in either SDA forum to question or even address the trinitarian beliefs of the SDAs.
Please note the link to the proper area to hold these debates, if you are so inclined to participate.
CF is not banning the debate, but merely asking that it be held in a more suitable venue.
As a mod, I will tend to give this new rule broad enough enforcement as to curtail topics that may break the rule through implication. In other words, if I see any posts implying that there is a question as to the trinitarian nature of SDA beliefs, I will possibly err on the side of caution and take action on those posts.
That is my personal view, and may not be a reflection of your other mods.
If you have any questions about this rule, you can post here or PM myself or any of your other mods at any time. CF's goal is for your mods to keep the peace, and to provide them with clear rules to aid in their enforcement for its forums.

James 2: 1My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism.
8If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"[ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ] you are doing right. 9But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

Do you really mean to say that we are not allowed to strongly support the doctrine of the Trinity as our doctrinal statement in the 28 FB does? I was thinking that this is an area we have in common with the CF statement since our 28FB statement is in perfect agreement with the statement that CF has made.
BTW - I tried clicking on that link -- it would not let me in.

No you can discuss it, but some posters were questioning the trinitarian beliefs of some SDA members thus the posting.

I noticed somebody posting that the link doesn't work, which is true, therefore, I did some searching and discovered the following link where discussion of the Trinity is permitted: http://christianforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130
